Make sure the physical switch for the WiFi is on.

I believe it is an added feauture

Did you purchase a bluetooth module when you originally configured thecomputer? Have you added a bluetooth module since receiving thecomputer?

If you answered no to both of those questions, you can't enablebluetooth. It requires a separate radio, and if that radio isn'tpresent in the computer, it will need to be added in order to enablebluetooth connectivity.

The dell D520 doesn't have any switch to power off the wireless. You will have to use the hot-key method. Just press Fn+F2. If you have curiosity:

check that your switch or button for internet has been depressed or toggled to have wifi enabled.

check the wire of your charger maybe theres a cut

it sounds like you did the right thing, i would search google for "Dell D520 keyboard", you should find many places at different prices, if you havent bought from the site before, try reading some customer feedback, and also, the cheapest may not be the best, look for a good return policy and or warranty for the item. if this helps pleas give a fixya rating thanks

If you keyboard isn't working and this is the correct one, I would buy it and replace it. I have done this before on a Dell Latitude CPI. Easy to do. Good luck.

I have heard about this problem with a number of Dell laptops, including the Inspiron models. The problem is that the connector for the power port may have been loosened after many years of use. This may require service from Dell on the motherboard.
