White screen on LCD and two vertical lines-1 red & 1 blue

Hi, the screen on the camcorder is white with a single vertical blue and red line. No picture on the screen. My camera is about 6 months old and was bought brand new. It has only been used about 5 times. Do you have any ideas?? I did take video on xmas day and even though the screen was blank with the lines I was able to download the videos still to my computer even though I couldn't see anything on the screen. Do you think I need to return it??
Thank you!
Ali

I have the same problem too. By any chance have you taken your everio through and airport metal detector? Thats what I think happened to mine. Sadly, my problem happened just days after the year warrenty period ended. If you find anything out let me know.

Vertical lines in my laptop screen

Hi mikenstacy

Try to connect a normal desktop monitor to the laptop (there will be one vga port where you can connect the monitor) and if you see those lines on external monitor as well then most probably video card has gone bad (you can try to reinstall video drivers in this case) if those lilnes are not there on external monitor then problem is with your LCD so if system is in warranty then get it replaced other wise get in touch with local compter shop and get it replaced.

let me know if this helped

Fine tuning grid on my Samsung HDTV with remote.(BP59-00048)

To adjust manual convergence on your projection TV, follow theses steps:
  1. Turn your TV on.
  2. Let it warm up for 30 minutes.
  3. Press the Menu button on your remote. The Main menu appears.
  4. Use your remote to select Function, and then press the joystick.
  5. Select Convergence, and then press the joystick. The Manual Convergence screen appears.
  6. Select Red, and then press the joystick. A series of crosshairs appears on the screen.
  7. Select one of the outside crosshairs by moving the joystick up/down/right/left or by pressing the 2 (up), 4 (left), 6 (right), or 8 (down) buttons on your remote. The method you use depends on the model of remote you have. Note: You must do the outside crosshairs first.
  1. In the crosshair you selected, if you can see a horizontal red line, use the CH up or CH down buttons to move the line so that it is superimposed on the horizontal center line of the crosshair. Note: Make the single horizontal line as white as possible.
  1. In the crosshair you selected, if you can see a vertical red line, use the Vol + or Vol - buttons to move the line so that it is superimposed on the vertical center line of the crosshair. Note: Make the single vertical line as white as possible.
  1. Repeat for all outside crosshairs, and then for the inside crosshair.
  2. Return to the Manual Convergence Screen, and select Blue, and then press the joystick.
  3. Repeat Steps 7 through 10 for Blue.
  4. Press the Menu button on your remote to exit.
Important: The directions above work for most Samsung Rear Projection TVs. Yours may be different. For exact directions to perform manual convergence, see your user's manual. If you don't have your user's manual on hand, click HERE to view your manual on line.
If you cannot get your Projection TV to converge, it may need to be serviced. To arrange a service appointment, call Samsung Customer Care at 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864). Have your TV's model number and serial number on hand when you call.

Philips Flat Screen Green Lines

The LCD Panel is defective. You will need to replace the LCD Panel. It will probably be cheaper to replace the monitor since the LCD Panel may exceed the monitor cost.

Single lines of single color (red, green, blue) are LCD panel failures.

1 or 2 lines of single color are LCD Panel failures.

Multple color lines could be anything so in this case you start by checking the power circuit.
