The main control board is behind the refrig , behind the small 8X10 inch panel . There are 6-8 group plugs which will only fit in perspective plugins , so this board is easily replaceable . I have replaced 3 of these this week already, its the control box,lower left corner inside white plastic box, when light bulbs blow out it surges& the control board is ruined, its quite common, replace it with a new board no need to replace the cover or box with a new one, go to appliance parts pros or call 1-877-477-7278, the cost will be about $85.00 with shipping included, UNPLUG REFRIGE FIRST, and remove control board(2screws) on back of refrige, take off plastic cover and unplug 3 wire harnesses and install new board put cover back on and its good to go......if you have any other questions I'm at dmftrucker@yahoo or 24/7 Appliance Service (608)214-5632....Regards Daniel

Yes, pull refrig out from wall, remove cover on rear portion bottom of frig, follow water inlet line to where water valve is located. Be sure to turn refrig and water off before working on unit. Replace water valve, available at most appliance parts stores

check to see if the hose going into icemaker is frozen. unclog it

Your PTC relay is bad and needs to be replaced.


First be sure to unplug frig. Remove the cardboard cover that covers most backs of the frig units. Remove the plastic cover that is on the side of compressor. It is held on with a metal clip. Now you should be able to see the relay pry the relay straight off. note the wiring and position of relay. Only three prongs on compressor. Go to a parts house for appliance's and with your make and model number should be able to get a new one. Let me know if you need any more help. ken

Is this a used refrig? If new then you should have a brand new filter. For my LG side-by-side the filter is in the top right corner on the frig side. 1/4 twist and it pulls out. But they are $$$$, I found a 3 pack online cheaper than local
