No water comes in my kitchenAid dishwasher

No water fill in my kitchenAid dishwasher. I checked the incoming hot water. There is hot water goes to the kitchen sink and also the valve to the dishwasher is also open. Also the "mushroom" like overfill protection thing is down as normal.
Somebody say after you dry run the dishwasher, you need to fill in some water to "prime" the dishwasher. I tried and still no water come in. I fill in the water myself, and it seems it works fine.
Can some one help? One of my friend say that it is coincidence that my water heater and dishwasher broke at the same time.

You only need prime to pump water out if you are not getting water to D/W it is most likely the water control valve

Water not heating up

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
will not run on cold water or even luke warm water, it has to be hot water. Most will even specify 120F or hotter water temp as incoming water. These new units only use 1.5-3 gallons of water for each fill, so the temp has to be there. Many brands recommend that you run your kitchen sink water until it gets hot, then start filling your dishwasher, we also recommend that. Some dishwashers will stop if it senses too cold of water coming in, others will try to warm the water and if it can't in so much time, the unit will stop and give an error code. Hot water also helps dissolve and mix the soap detergent better, giving you better washing results. Just make sure the water is hot going into your dishwasher, no getting around it.

I have a KitchenAid dishwasher KUDC25CHBT1 that is leaking from what I believe is the water inlet. It only leaks while filling. Is this a replaceable part, and if so, how is it removed?

Ok if it only leaks while filling, and not while running, it is probably the fill hose that goes from the fill valve to the washer. This hose can be accessed by removing the lower kick plate (2-4 screws) look on left side you'll see your incoming copper tubing (or hose) and a larger hose with clamps on each end It may have vibrated a hole in it or be leaking at clamp. Another possibility is the fill valve itself is cracked and leaking only when the valve is on.

Only motor goes on, no water

Hi,,
try these
  1. Check that the water supply is turned on. The valve may be located under the sink.
  2. Check the door latch
  3. Test the door switch
  4. Inspect the float assembly
  5. Inspect the fill tube for kinks
  6. Test the float switch
  7. Check the inlet valve filter screens
  8. Test the water inlet valve
  9. Test the drain valve lever arm
  10. Check the drain valve

Suds coming out of the front

When you have suds rolling out of a dishwasher, you can assume that either that one of the dishes was loaded with liquid soap or that the dishwasher soap dispenser was filled with liquid, manual wash soap or laundry detergent.
After the mess is cleaned up, the quickest way to clean the dishwasher is to start up a new cycle, wait for the hot water to fill the dishwasher and just as the DW starts to pump the water through the spray arms (wash cycle) open the door and poor in two cups of white vinegar.
Hope this helps!

If it is filling when the dishwasher is off then you need a new water valve.

KitchenAid KUDP02 built-in dishwasher will not fill with water

Couple of things that come to mind here... May be helpful or not - but after all this is free ifo and probably worth what you are paying!!!

Anyway:

1: Have you tried removing power from the appliance?? All these modern appliances use a microprocessor and - like MS WINDOWS - need a kick up the bum now and then - (Well.. with Windows it seems to be every day- hour -minute - or so)

2: Dishwashers are installed with water reduction valves, so there could be a problem with one of there (particularly the hot water side).

3: The water inlet is controlled by soleniod valves (read: electronic valves). If the valves are not opening, no water will enter the appliance, so there could be a problem with the valves.

HElp Dishes not coming clean

Run the unit with no soap, after about 5 min. of run time open door and check to see if water is clear or soapy,If soapy then you are having an oversudsng issue. When your washer gets to rinse cycle, your unit (if oversuding),will be rinsing with soapy water and the the drying cycle bakes the soap on dishes. You might be having a white film on your clear glasses.Cut down on soap especially if you have soft water.powder soap is best.Your dishwasher will fill , wash , the drain. Its what you put into it that will cause dishes not become clean.
