My webcam is not working till my window is update . in last window it work properly but due to some problem my window is crupt.in new window it not work and not show the webcam icon.

The manufacturer makes no drivers available for this basic webcam, saying the native Windows drivers are adequate for its function.

If it does not work properly, update the Windows driver.

Crupt the sound Drivers please Take a new Window and Update The Drivers.

Check and make sure the driver is installed and working properly:
Start>control panel>hardware and sound>device manager. Look for imaging devices and expand the menu. Right click on the webcam adapter and click properties. The general tab in the properties window will tell you if the device is working properly. Go to the drivers tab, choose update driver and search automatically for updated software. You can also try uninstalling and renistalling the driver. If you know the manufacturer of the webcam, go to their support website and download the latest version of the driver. Uninstall the driver from device manager: right click the adapter and choose uninstall. Open the new driver download and follow installation instructions.

Your enhancement may not inserted properly, enhancement used as antenna. so insert the enhancement(eg: headphone) properly. if you done the same but then aslo there is same problem Then do restore factory setting, else go for Software update, your phone os may crupted.

This computer was designed and developed for the many versions of Windows Vista (Basic, Premium, Ultimate, Business and Enterprise). But still, Windows 7 can run on this model. The problems that may arise are some of the functions of the computer may not function very well or disabled due to compatibiliity issues with the proper drivers. In short, softwares and drivers are limited to the manufacturer's release.

You may try to update your webcam's driver through this LINK01. If, in case, the problem persists, contact Toshiba Technical Support number 1-800-663-0378. Their technical support representatives may have a link where to download the proper driver for your webcam. Other contact numbers can be viewed thru this LINK02.

Check the device manager and view whether all the devices drivers are properly installed.

You didnt say whether this worked before or if you are doing a new OS install but the web camera driver is part of the vista operating system. See below info from HP....

Microsoft provides an automated Windows update function that examines your computer and installs the appropriate drivers and programs for Service Pack 2. One of the updated drivers, Microsoft USB Video driver , is required for proper operation of the webcam on your HP or Compaq notebook PC.
If you have updated to SP2 but the webcam is not working, see HP Notebook PCs - Webcam Does Not Work with Vista or After Upgrading to Vista , for detailed instructions on manually installing the latest webcam driver (usbvideo.sys) from Microsoft.

This could be due to updates on your computer, faulty webcam or driver.

Check the properties in devices in control panel. Troubleshoot to see if the drivers need updating and if the webcam appears as working properly.

Then you can check if the webcam is working on another machine? Does it power up?

Windows Vista has compatibility issues with many webcams because the ACPI is different; need to know the make/model of your webcam.

I am assuming you have a Chicony USB 2.0 Webcam made by Toshiba...
