Your screen can be replaced, if you're tech savy you can do it yourself. There is a nano repair guide that shows you how to repair it and a third party ipod nano repair service that can do it for you

My ipod appears to show a blank screen and I can't play anything!!! I also feel like a sort of vibration when It is plugged in!

Try a hard reset. Hold the play and menu button down for about 30 seconds and the ipod should restart. If this does not work, plug your ipod in. Go to Itunes. Click on the ipod tab on the left, at the bottom there should be a bottom that says restore to factory settings. Try pressing this button. If these do not work, take it into your local apple store. They should be able to provide the help your looking for.
Thanks :)

My ipod nano froze while i was listening to my music so i restarted it by holding the center button and the menu button. now all it shows is the apple on my screen. when i press play, i can hear my music...

Try going in itunes, right clicking on the song, and click create AAC version. The song may be in the wrong format which is why it won't finish playing it. Hope this helps!

My Ipod nanno gen2 4GB screen is no longer showing any displays.

Hi Guys.. try this out

  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

Lights up but doesn't display anything but horizontal lines

A few things to try... Get another ipod and back up (using the menu button) to the first menu list you can,( should show the Music, Movies, ect list) and then do the same to your broken ipod. Follow the good ipod with the broken ipod and open a song. (just to clarify, you are using the good ipod to know what to press in the broken ipod because you can't see the screen). Now use your headphones to see if it is playing. If it works, your LCD is dead or depixelated. A screen replacement is necessary. You can find one on eBay for around $25 or someone to do it for you possibly on Craigslist.
If this doesn't work and it doesn't sync right to your computer then *********** board may be the culprite. Unfortunately this is the second most expensive part to replace. If you don't want to deal with it sell it on eBay/craigslist and put the money towards a new one.

LInes on screen please help me

try reformatting it. but if you still want to save it everything in your ipod, try to check out your lcd.. its better to see just all the lines than having problems with the drive itself. but i hope it still works and can play your songs, because it's kinda more cheaper if the problem is only the lcd :)

Unresponsive ipod?

Reboot your IPod by holding down on the center button while pressing the menu button. The Apple logo will appear.

If it still continues, reload your IPod software from Itunes.

Screen not working on ipod Need Help

this sounds like you have left the ipod in a hot car or in the sun too long, if so there is not a true fix for this problem. You can always take it in for a fix at an apple store.
