Hi, I have an old polaroid 4000 scanner which I used with PC, and now I switched to the Apple computer. The Apple does not have the adapter for the SCSI plate. Does anybody know where I can get the SCSI installation kit for the MAC system ?? Thanks, Alex

paul here i am, what happened, you suddenly ended our session, do you still have the script? we can continue it there if you want. just watch out for my reply.
The scanner uses a "twain" driver, try searching for that, it may be one of the files you already downloaded. Just look in the download u got. Also try going to add hardware, select the scanner there and poit it to the downloaded file when uit asks if you have a disk that came with it. Download the drivers to your desktop, rt click and open a folder on the desktop, and drag all of the drivers and the Twain one especially, into the folder.
Hi,
If the problem is simple the connection itself, most of the newer Macs have USB and PS2 ports. The HP printer should have a USB port. Here is a link to a HP page that has alot of info about that printer including the manuals and specifications:

You will need to make sure that you have the compatible Mac operating system depending on how old your Mac is. This printer requires:
Mac OS 10.4 or later, Mac OS 10.3 or later, Mac OS 10.2.3 or later (Mac OS 10.2.6 or later recommended) Please feel free to leave me a comment if you have any further questions.Hope this was helpfulhave a great day!
Are you referring to the scanner or the computer not having a light on?
The scanner only lights up when it is scanning. If your computer is running ok, check the Apple System Profiler to see if the scanner is detected. What Mac OS are you using? Leopard is not supported with this scanner model.
