When I switch on camcorder the viewfinder is white with multicoloured vertical lines. In camera mode it doesn't do anything, but in player mode you can hear the sound but the lines remain on the viewfinder.
Any ideas please ?
Hi..Please to pass on the remedy..I had this two weeks ago.. lcd ribbon is brocken.. breaks over time with being opened and closed.. Part available form partmaster.co.uk.. part no..SAMAD9706489A.. lcd fpc ***. easy to replce ..take you time and try yourself.. if i can help with instructions [email protected].. cost of ribon £11.49.. I have same problem but found if I reverse the screen and close it with screen showing outwards it does operate. A temporary fix till it is repaired properly.

when i open the viewfinder it goes white at first and then vertical coloured lines appear
When I open the viewfinder, all I see is a white screen. I can not understand why this happened out of nowhere.
I have the same problem, I can use the eye piece but the view finder has lines down the screen (no picture) but close the screen and I can use the eye piece. I do have sound on playback but then white screen with lines flashing across the screen. Maybe if everyone got together and emailed Samsung at the same time with this same problem they may do something.
Is Samsung VP-D 351 pal worth buying?
