Realtek audio might be the problem, it shows aan external speaker setup. and monitor device only shows a pnp monitor.

Generally speaking the imtegaral speakers are self amplified that is they plug into the sound system just like- an external sound system or head phone.
So if the computer sound system functions via phones or speakers, then the output is OK and you must look to the monitor controls.
I have to say I have inboard sound on my Philips 190X6 and it is rubbish- moniitors are for looking at and and speakers/phones are for listening to.

Is there actually any unknown devices in the device`manager?

Are your monitor speakers USB or do they plug into the audio out jack of your sound card or motherboard???

If they plug into the sound jack, then test the sound output with a pair of headphones.

Hope this helps you narrow it down. Please reply back if you need further help

How do i use the sound of the monitor CMV CT-723A

Monitors seldom have sound. This one of yours is little known as I am trying to find the specs on it. Sometimes they have an audio socket, but you have to run a cable to powered speakers. The data signal from a computer sound card is not amplified, it is just data.

How do I fix my realtek speakers? They play sounds and music but while doing so the sound icon in the taskbar is showing movement from bottom to top with sound increasing as it goes upwards?

Open Device manager and right click on "Realtek HD Audio"
Select 'enable'
Right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select 'Playback devices' ensure that Realtek is checked as the default speaker device
Right click alongside the speaker icon and make sure they are not disabled
Use the 'Test' facility to check the audio
You may have to update the driver as well

I purchased a set of Logitech LS21 speekers and I can' get them to work. Below is a list of my system hardware and the steps I have done so far. Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H 16GB RAM AMD...

Go into control panel, then go to device manager and see Audio devices. Check to see if your Realtek is listed as your default audio device. If it isn't you have to add hardware and add the audio device using your setup disk that should of came with the computer. If the audio device is set up and working in device manager then check your cable from the mother board to the jack on the audio out that is mounted on the mother board. Finally if non of that works see if you can borrow a set of speakers to try to see if they work with your setup.

No sound from external speakers with toshiba dynadock

if using XP, go to start control panel , sound and audio devices.Under the audio tab make sure the C Media CM106 sound device is selected under sound playback. Then under the volume tab set the volume somewhere in the middle or at the top if you don;t have active speakers . Then Under Speaker settings advanced, make sure the speaker setup is set to Laptop Stereo speakers. Also make sure the speaker volumes are up on the speaker volume button. click ok. If no result check that the cm106 sound decvice was cemented in as I saw it dissaper when I thought i had slected it. I think the key thing here is the device and the laptop speakers setting.

No Sound

ATI is the graphics card developer. Your motherboard has onboard audio that appears to be Realtek. You should not have an ATI sound driver... as they don't exist.

I'm assuming you're using WinXP to make thing simple. If you're using Vista, try to do the equivalent.

Since your graphics card is capable of HDMI, the problem could be that the card expects to output audio through your graphics card rather than the sound card. Check start -> Control Panel -> Sounds and audio. -> Sounds and Audio Devices /or/ Adjust Speaker Settings -- go to the Audio tab and make sure it says Realtek for output. If it shows more than one output device, set it to realtek. If it doesn't show realtek, follow the below instructions, and then double check at the end that the Output device is set to Realtek.

1>Please go to HP's site and download their Audio drivers.
2>Go to Device manager -> Sound, Video, and game controllers.
2.1> Does it have an entry saying "Realtek blah blah Audio" there? If not, what entries does it have for audio? Ignore Audio Codecs and Legacy Audio Drivers.
2.2>If there's nothing there, you need to install the drivers you downloaded. If there is something there, please continue to #3.
2.3>After installing the driver, restart computer.
2.4>Once computer is restarted, go start -> Control Panel -> Sounds and audio. -> Sounds and Audio Devices /or/ Adjust Speaker Settings. Hit the button labeled Advanced and adjust the speaker setup to whatever you have - surround sound, 5.1, quad, stereo, whatever.
2.5> Go to #5
3> If there is anything that says Realtek/Azalia Audi, right click it and Uninstall.
3.1> Restart computer.
4>Install audio driver you downloaded, and perform #2.4.
5>Find the driver icon (there's probably on in the task tray) or find it under start -> Control Panel -> Sounds and audio. Set your speaker settings there as well. Audio I/O should specify what ports go to what speakers What you set in windows should match the Realtek audio manager's speaker setup.

If problem persists, please report this.

Acer 5920 external speakers problem

Did you buy the speakers for computer using?

If not buy a USB audio output interface to drive the speakers.

External speakers do not play

It is not an issue with the speakers or the sound card as you get sound in media player and also while playing cd's.
It could be the volume settings on the player tht the websites use to play the audio or the video,
