Large second hand not running, Stop Watch function?

Just inherited the Road Warrior watch and small dial second hand is working but large not working. Is it broken, or does it have something to do with the two side buttons? Is it stop watch watch function? I have no manual on it and Festina website down.

Hey, it sounds like your watch is just fine! A nice watch to inherit.
The small second hand on the sub-dial is your normal second hand.
The large second hand is the second timer for your chronograph feature.
It should only move when you hit the side buttons. One of them (usually the top plunger/ button) will start the Chrono timer and then hitting it again will stop it. The bottom button should reset the hand to the 12 o'clock/ zero marker.
If the large hand is not functioning at all then there may be something wrong with the watch; perhaps the buttons are not making full contact within the watch or the hand may be stuck and need repair.
Hope this answers your questions. Post more questions if need be.
Congrats on your new watch.

What are the three little faces for? do not have instructions

Your watch is a chronograph or a watch that includes a stopwatch. Two of the three dials are for recording minutes and hours with the large sweep second hand recording seconds. Pushing the upper button starts and stops the stopwatch function. Pressing the lower resets everything to zero. The small bottome dial is the seconds hand for the watch, it always is moving.

Why isn't the second hand on my Wenger Commando SR not working? The red seconds hand is not moving. The small seconds counter of the chronograph works and the minute and hour hands work.

The large seconds hand will remain at 12 unless you press the upper right button to start it. Pres again to stop it and press the lower button to reset it. The small seconds hand that always runs is the seconds for the time. The large seconds hand is for the stopwatch function. If you like to have it running all the time just start it and leave it running - it won't harm the watch.

Seconds hand not moving

The roles haven't been reversed. The seconds hand for normal timekeeping is the small one and the chronograph timer seconds hand is the large one. The reason for that is that it is much easier to determine the precise second with the larger hand. It working exactly as it should. If you like having the large second hand moving all the time you will not hurt the watch by leaving it running. All chronographs work this way. Nice watch - wear it well!

Cant set the second hand to move

The "second" hand on this watch is not actually a 'sweep' second hand, as on other watches.
This is a timer dial. ["Stopwatch 1/5 Second Hand"]
To start/stop this, use the top button (Button "A").
To reset this dial to 12 O'clock, use Button "B", after first stopping it with Button "A".
The "second" hand is the small dial at the 9 O'clock position.
In actuality, you 'could' start this and just not stop it...  Then it would function as a "large second hand". That would be up to the owner. (it might use more battery power though... ?)

Rolex Daytona Chromograph

ok. bear with me. lol. on most watches without a chronograph. the second is the largest hand on the watch and naturally that's what most people refer to as the second hand. On a chronograph the "true" second hand is the little middle dial. It should always be constantly moving and the large hand should only move when the stop watch funtion is in play. The way to employ the stopwatch funtion is by unscrewing both buttons. The top button starts the action. Once pressed then large hand will begin. The little dial on you left will keep up with each minute that passes. To stop the function, press the top button again. To reset the stop watch, press the bottom button. The little dial on your right is simply military time. Hope that helps. Good luck!!

Tissot PRS 516

Your Tissot watch is a chronograph. The large second hand is for the stop watch only. There is another second hand by the six that is for the time. To get the large second hand to move hit the top right button, that works the stop watch. If you already knew this and your large second hand is not going around then there is something wrong with the watch either a battery or needs service.

Rolex ad Daytona 1992 replica

The advice given here is accurate to a degree. When wound, a rolex daytona IS running. However, it is the running seconds hand in the small sub-dial that is actually running. In the earlier Daytonas, this sub-dial was at the 9 o'clock position on the dial, (pre-2001 series daytonas). The later daytonas, from 2001 on, use the seconds at 6 position for counting seconds. The main sweeping second hand on the watch dial will NOT start until activated by the pusher at the 2 position. That pusher needs to be unscrewed and then pushed to start the large sweeping second hand. This action, in turn, starts the remaining 2 sub-dials in motion, counting minutes and hours. To stop the chronograph function, you push the pusher @ the 2 position again, to stop the sub-dial hands from counting, and then push the pusher @ the 4 position to re-set the dials to their "straight up position". This stops the chrono's function, until it is needed again, BUT the main running seconds, (at either the 9 or 6 sub-dial position, depending on the year series of the daytona) will continue to run, thus keeping accurate time.  Hope this gives you a better idea of how the timekeeping of the chronograph function on a Daytona works. So, to start your seconds running you need to start the chrono function by pressing the pusher at the 2 position. That will allow you to see the large sweeping second hand I think you're referring to here. Hope this has helped.
