If anything is broke it's the memory card. You need to get a new memory card.

My SD high capacity memory card won't work

You call it a SD high capacity memory card, but does it say SDHC on the card, or SDXC. our camera only can use Multi Media cards, SD and SCHC cards (max 32 GByte). So no go for SDXC cards. Still a few things could be wrong if you have a SDHC card. The lock switch on the card could be in the wrong position and the card could have a wrong format. If you did format it in a PC, you should have formatted to FAT 32.
But the best format is the format in the camera. Before you do so, be sure there are no import ants files or pictures on the memory card, because they will be lost.

Memory card after formatting, say check card (samsung camera)

Probably, especially if your card is a 4GB or larger SDHC card, then it's definitely the wrong card. The older Digimax S800 camera can only use standard SD cards (2GB or less). Fortunately, these are very inexpensive these days, and may be found on Amazon if your local store no longer carries them. For others reading this experiencing similar problems, please see this article.

I HAVE PICS ON MY INTERNAL MEMORY AND NEED TO PRINT. I PLACED A MEMORY CARD IN TO TRY TO COPY TO THE MEMORY CARD. iT KEEPS TELLING ME THERE IS NO MEMORY CARD. tHE MEMORY CARD HAS OTHER PICS ON IT AND IS...

If the "other" pictures have been taken with a differed camera your camera will not read the memory card until it is formatted to your camera. Formatting will erase all pictures on the card. You need to download the pictures to the computer. Format the memory card and then you will be able to transfer pictures from the internal memory to the memory card then to print or to the computer. You should format the memory card after each time you download the pictures to the computer.

Memory card needs formatted is displayed on the screen. Deleted the pictures and it still comes up. Tried to take more pictures and the memory card would not hold. Is there something wrong with the camera...

I assume you have an SD card. If it's bigger than 2GB then it's actually an SDHC card and will not work in the ZD710.

No, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong. The card just needs to be formatted. In any mode press the Menu button. Press right-arrow to select the Setup tab (camera and wrench) then press OK. Press up/down-arrow to select "Format" then press OK.

Make sure you format the memory card. It's okay to format the internal memory, of course, but your current problem appears to be that the card needs to be formatted.

I put a new memory card in my camera and it Camera

Guess. the lock tab on the memory card is set wrong. Or, the card has a bad memory cell in it and the camera cannot get to the boot track of the SD card. You will need a new card!

Memory card message

turn on the camera to auto> menu> setup menu> format> memory card

if you are getting the "memory card requires formatting" msg and it's a loop, try another card - there may be something wrong with the card but if that other card is still not working, it's with the camera

this cam can support up to 4gb
