Tv keeps switching off every 40 minutes or so.Switch off and on on tv and it comes back on again? Any clues.

Could just be a cold/bad solder connection on a cicuit board, a cap is bad, or any number of transistors or ICs breaking down when hot. Make sure the sleep/timer is not on. The best thing to do is take it to a repair shop where they can watch voltages and wave forms to see what shuts down. They can also freeze parts to see which one may be causing the problem.

Door ajar light keeps coming on when door is closed tightly

The problem is a dirty switch. use a can of wd-40 or equivalent and spray the door latch heavily. Next hold up on the door handle and work the latching mechanism back and forth really fast. Next repeat the process 2 or 3 times. It only takes a few minutes and your door latch sensor will be working like new again.

Top up tv dtr box froze then staying on orange light, wont work

i had same problem today, it had locked up during deal/no deal
unplugged it three times nothing happened, wouldn't switch on
unplugged again left it for 5 minutes
then plugged in and left alone for 15mins plus
lights flasing then evetually green light went

Sony Handycam E:40:00 Error Help

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.
