Where is the temperature control located in whirlpool gold freestanding electric oven? I had a pan boil over on the cooktop and suddenly the F2 warning came up on the display. Could I have shorted it out from the top by the boilover

My Whirlpool Gold Oven s about 6 years old and has always worked until yesterday, when all of a sudden it stopped working and no matter what we select, it says "feature unavailable". We reset the circuit...

My guess is the oven controls are smart enough to know something is not working, including the oven heating element, the oven thermostat, or the oven on switch. These are all electrical parts that are dangerous unless you have appliance repair knowledge and experience! You may be able to find a lightly used replacement for less than a service call.

Replaced control board and keypad but oven buttons still not working

I pulled the schematic there is a thermal fuse on the neutral wire going to the control you should have 120VAC at terminals P4-3 and P4-1 if not find the fuse back trace from P4-1

Where is the thermal fuse located on an electric whirlpool in cabinet oven?

hello,

Instruction below.
  • Unplug your oven. Insert the size 15 Security Torx bit into your multi-bit screwdriver and remove the screws from the back panel. Take off the back panel.
  • 2 Locate the fuse. It should be near where the electrical cord comes into the oven. The fuse is a small white bar with metal caps on either end. Carefully remove the fuse. Avoid touching the transformer or other parts inside the oven.
  • 3 Purchase a new fuse. Most whirlpool ovens use an 18 amp ceramic fuse. Consult your owner's manual to find out what kind of fuse is used, or take the old fuse into the store to find the exact match.
  • 4 Replace the fuse. Put the cover back on and see if your oven works. If it does, replace the screws. If it does not, try a different fuse. If the oven still does not turn on, you may have to have it replaced of professionally repaired.

After putting my 10 yr. old Whirlpool Model RBD276PD double ovens thru the self cleaning cycle the bake and broiler elements in the bottom unit stopped heating. All the controls on the panel work and the...

This sounds like it blew the thermostat on the back of the lower oven. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. You will need to uninstall the unit and remove the back panel to acess. Check it for continuity if none replace. This is a fairly common failure due to the heat of the self cleaning. Here is a link to your part and diagrams are also available there AP3055316

The oven will not light on my Whirlpool gas oven Mod SF368LEPQ 2. The stove top burners still light.

Sounds like you need an bake element ignitor if the bake doesn't work but if the broil also doesn't work, it could be the electronic clock/timer control. the part number for the bake ignitor is 8054129 .Best off to call a reliable service company such as Sears.

Whirlpool Double oven - control panel stopped working

Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.
