I first installed the included software for the mg130. When I tried to connect via usb the notice would come up that no drivers could be found. I called Jvc Customer service and they were no help, he said that with vista you don't need to install the software, it should work and he suggested I uninstall it. I did that and restarted pc but messege that I need drivers to allow the cam. to connect and be used still shows up and pc won't let the cam. connect. What should I do? Thanks
It is easier to connect your camcorder through the included "PowerCinema NE for Everio". First (since you're running Vista), you have to download a patch. Here is the address: http://www2.cli.co.jp/products/ne/update_everioM7SD/pcm4e_update.htm
Note: Only after you have installed PowerCinema NE for Everio can you install the patch. After you have installed the patch, just connect your MG130 to your computer through the included USB cable. Then the software should run automatically.

Did you manage to connect your everio to your pc with vista. I currently have the same problem and would like to know what your solution was.
I have a Everio MG175. I have found the supplied software causes problems when used with Vista. My solution is to download from the net the Everio Utility 1.1 this will convert all the files to MPEG then use a standard video edit program or even Vistas Movie Maker.
You can find a solution for using your JVC camcorder with Vista on the site http://www.convertmod.com. The software iVerio will transfer and convert all your videos to your computer.
Eric45, that did not work. Install patch, restart and vista still says unknonwndevice and wont find a driver when directed to do so

There is a program i heard of halled trackercam but for somereason it doesnt work with my jvc, im not sure why.

You need to buy software CD from JVC Accessories Store as software is not available over internet to download.
