That exact number is not showing up in the model number database but that series of motors with similar numbers are the square flange pool pump motors made to replace Pentair and Sta-Rite pool pump motors. If that is what you have then the answer is no.

How to reverse as A.O. SMITH AC Motor serial 2G98

The wiring diagram for an A.O. Smith AC motor may vary depending on the specific model and application. However, here are some general steps to reverse the direction of an AC motor:
  1. Turn off the power supply to the motor.
  2. Locate the motor leads and identify the run winding leads (usually labeled T1 and T2) and the start winding leads (usually labeled T3 and T4).
  3. Swap the positions of the T5 and T8 leads.
  4. Swap the positions of the T2 and T4 leads.
  5. Turn the power supply back on and test the motor. It should now be running in the opposite direction.
It is important to note that reversing the direction of an AC motor may affect its performance and may not be suitable for all applications. If you are unsure about the wiring or the suitability of reversing the motor, it is recommended to consult a qualified electrician or technician.

How to reverse rotation of model# c48k2n100 a.o. smith pool motor, stock# sk1072, serial# g72, single phase.

Instructions about how to reverse a motor is often pasted under the terminal cover.
A single phase motor will run in either direction and it is the kick from the phase shift caused as the capacitor charges through the start winding that dictates the direction.

The identity of the wires aren't always clear, especially with multi-voltage motors but reversing the connections to the start winding will reverse the direction of rotation.

Which way does motor turn

Hi,
The motor is reversible by changing the wiring in the box on the side or the back of the motor...
Look on the label on the side to see which wire need to be changed to reverse the direction of the motor..

For many motors you will reverse the 5 and the 8 wire....on some you will reverse the red and the black.. on others there will be a different combo....

on three phase motors you can reverse any of the incoming leads to reverse it...

I have a new A O Smith B861 motor I want to

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

I am not sure what you mean by "center wire". For 230V single phase you should have 2 hot line leads (115V each) and a ground wire. Set the motor leads as the nameplate shows for the high voltage connection and attach your line leads where the two lines are indicated. If you have a 3+Grd wire drop DO NOT connect the neutral, insulate it and leave it unconnected. It will not matter which line lead connects to which motor line wire as far as rotation direction. To change rotation, if the motor allows it, you reverse the start winding leads as directed on your nameplate.

I have a A.O Smith 2 HP motor. Is there any way I

Sorry, but no. Reversible AC motors are very different. Without that design difference (which adds cost) you can't reverse it. Your label is telling you that you don't have the special kind of motor.
