I dropped the Canon A560 camera the other day and now it is not snapping the picture. A green box shows in the view finder but it does not snap the picture. I can view older pictures and the actual current image, but it doesn't snap the picture.

SOURCE: A95 Power shot Images on the LCD screen are monochrome, blurred with stripes

Unfortunutly this sounds like the cable connecting the screen to the main board is either loose or damaged. I would return it to the store you got it from.

SOURCE: No image in view finder

Common fault with these models and is caused by faulty CCD sensor. Canon will probably repair free of charge so send it in . As I said very common with this model.

SOURCE: image through view finder is blury

Hey DarsCanonFix,
This camera does have a diopter adjustment on the viewfinder to correct for bad eyesight. I would try adjusting this since it could have been accidentally set incorrectly. If this doesn't work the camera might just need a good cleaning by an authorized service technician. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Try NOT using the USB connection.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
