You can probably adjust it.

Here is a hint to work on it. USUALLY when the door is fully OPEN there are holes that you can put a nail in crossways to hold the hinges open so you are not fighting the springs.

Are fan forced ovens meant to have hot air coming out from the top of the door? I have a built in chef fan forced wall oven

Unlikely there would be no air spilling through the door seal because it is an oven and not a watertight compartment. An oven door seal needs to be hard wearing and able to withstand high temperatures and hot grease which limits the materials used, that and the fact few domestic oven doors actually latch these days but are held closed by springs meaning the pressure against the seal is relatively light which means the door, the shut and the seal must be manufactured to a high degree of accuracy and properly adjusted.

If the amount or air leakage is excessive perhaps the door could be adjusted or the seal replaced. Try asking around to find someone with a similar oven so you can compare...

Door will not stay closed completely

if the seal is meeting the frame it will be ok, if there is a gap allowing air to escape then the frame itself may have been bent at some pric

Grease in between glass on oven door

You have 2 pieces of glass that are separated by a frame then sealed. What has happened the seal has been broken and thus allowing air and grease inside. You can take it apart but the grease will come back, or you can buy a repalcement glass and be done with it. The question is, do you want to go to the trouble of cleaning the glass (1-2 hours of disassembly and assembly) probably once every 2 months depending on how often you use the oven, or buy a new one and it will always be clean. One caution, cleaning the glass periodically weakens and flexes the metal frame or band thus making it harder to properly seat the glass.

Cant get the oven door to shut all the way??

Try opening the the door a few inches and lift it straight up. Then push it straight down. It should slide on the hinges up and down. You need to seat the door properly on the hinges. Don't be afraid to man handle it but, be careful the oven may tip if it's free standing. Good luck. Please rate me so I know if I helped. Thanks.

I need a replacement door for a built in Baumatic 720 series oven

I have exactly the same problem and my bottom glass panel exploded. My friends did the same. You can take the inside glass panel out via the two screws and clean the inside of the outer glass once removed. Id replace all the rubber seals to as they perish, particularly the one that clips onto the oven itself that meets the door.
