I had the same heating problem. And yes one of the pins of the relay was completely burned...
After some soldering it did not worked. Than I directly conect two lines from relay during working of washmachine and ...

ant it start to work.

Remove the controller from the top of the door. Extract the main PCB from the plastic case. You will probably see a burn mark on the inside of the case adjacent to the relay on the back of the PCB. Examine the back of the PCB for burn marks around the relay pins. Resolder the relay and any damaged track.
