LC 32D43U power and OPC green light flashing set does not come on

Set was working fine yesterday, but today it did not turn on and when I hit the power on both the remote and the TV the Power and OPC light flash green. I have unplugged set and waited a few minutes but the lights keep flashing and set does not come on. Disconnected the DVD player and still the same. Checked the operation manual and did not any solution.

Appreciate any suggestions.

    Have the same problem, but my tv did come on after a long wait (the wait seemed to get longer and longer), although right now I don't get an image anymore at all (just sound and white stripes).

    I have the same problem. when I turn on TV power and OPC lights keep blinking. I press power button agian on my remote. OPC light goes off - power light stays on. then after a min both lights keep blinking again. I repeat this four times and then TV comes on.

    It seems like if 'TV is off for long time, it takes longer to come on. Power and OPC lights blinking more times. I have emailed to Sharp. Waiting for their response.

    OPC and Power Light flash simultaneously and the power light flashes twice and then it starts over. I'll let you know if I find a solution. I think I read somewhere that it is a power supply problem.

    Same deal, it started after I had it month and it was too late to return it to the store. Sometimes if I let it flash for a minute or so it will turn on.
    Sharp tech support has no answers and said they never heard of the problem.

Hey i have had the same problem but i unplugged the tv for awhile about a half hour and then plug your tv into a different wall outlet if you can and should work. It worked for me, i had it plugged into a surge protector then i unplugged it from there, let it sit of half hour then plugged into different wall outlet and worked. so try that and see if it works.

Get the usb (flash drive) and go to sharpusa.com customer support / product downloads / software download find your model# then select firmware (last 30 days) download files, save it and transfer files to usb flash drive. Unplugg the tv and put the usb on the back the tv, plugged back in and turn it on. Should work, for sure.

Our sharp LC-37D6U does not turn on. The opc/dl light keeps flashing green X3 then every second or so. and the blue power button flashes also. What might we have to do to solve the problem? thank you

The main tv Tuner signal board it is dead or it have problems,but tv still usable.Tries push the remote power switch off/on again everytimes OPC/Power LEDS lights flashes.Have to do this maybe 3 or 4 times for the tv to have a lite up LCD screen panel backlight to make the tv Tuner signal board to work again,for the tv to work.If still have same problems after 3 or 4 times power switch pushes off/on still have OPC/Power LEDS lights flashes.Mean the main tv Tuner signal board it is dead and can not be trying to save it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.This solution 100% will work,if ur tv main Tuner signal board still have life left in it.I do this every few days out of a week for my 46" Sharp Aquo LCD tv set,tv it work all the times.

Sharp LC-26D43U Power light flashes and unit won't turn on?

It's a power supply related problem. When it turns itself off, this it called protection mode. The TV automatically turns off to protect other parts form being damaged.
The most common problem is the Power Supply Unit or the Backlight Inverter Board.
You may have to take the TV to a repair shop to find out which one is bad. Paying a repair shop to replace the board for you maybe more than the TV is worth. If you let them diagnose it and you replace the bad circuit board yourself, it would be cheaper.

Here's a place I use to get parts for TVs:
http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=LC-26D43U&p=1
The problem is the repair shop may charge you double or three times of what the part costs at the web site link above. Then, plus labor. I just want to save you money. :)

No POWER

How many times does the POWER led flash per second? (Dont worry about the OPC).

1x (steady constant blink) = Lamps or inverters
2x = Power Supply
3x = Main Unit

If i am reading it correctly, looks like the POWER led is flashing 2x, which means it is a power supply failure. Either way, your TV needs to have a board replaced, there isn't anything you can do to fix it yourself. Try locating your local sharp authorized service center to repair your TV (1-800-237-4277)
