A bigger question might be will the operating system you are using support the printer? You could check the Windows 7 hardware compatibility list (other versions of windows can be accessed from that site as well) See if the MP 145 is listed. There will be additional info posted there as well.
OR ... you can go to www.canon.com/support and get your drivers for the OS you are using.
You need to download the drivers from canon webpage. Access MP145 download page and enter your Windows (or other OS) version in the box that say Select OS.
Note:Your Canon will be listed under multifunctional as MP140.
After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded. The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.
Hanif,
Go to
http://www.bioticaindia.com/pixma-mp-145.html and download the necessary drivers and burn a CD for future. Connect the printer to the PC and Allow Windows to detect it. When it asks for drivers point to the directory where you have downloaded the drivers.
After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the
software that you downloaded. The software installer will tell you when
to connect USB.
