Hi!

It means GPRS signal. This is commonly implemented by 2G cellphone networks for the data service like internet surfing, email etc.

My camera battery indicator not show the battery status while using camera but batteries are shown when executed. find solution.pls.

The camera will not display the battery status until it drops below a certain threshold. When you don't see the status on the screen, take that to mean the status is good.

I have the cobra CXT275 they have been on the desktop charger for 5 days. They won't charge over a 1/4 of the way how do I get the maximum charge?

Just went to their site and this is what it said:

This may simply be a matter of misinterpreting the low-battery indicator. We use two different types of battery indicators:
  1. Battery Level Indicator: This battery indicator is always visible, and has several segments. When all the segments are lit, the batteries are full. When only the last segment is lit, the batteries are almost exhausted.
  2. Low Battery Indicator: This type is usually NOT visible. It only appears when the batteries are low, at which time it flashes on the display to warn you of a low battery condition.
Please note that when you turn on your radio it first performs a display test. Everything on the display will light up for a few seconds, including the Low Battery Indicator. This does not mean that the batteries are low. After a few seconds the display test will end, at which time the Low Battery Indicator should go away.

We have a White-Rodgers 90 series thermostat that started beeping last night. We have had it for about 4 years. Does it have a battery? I couldn't find anything about that in the manual.

Susan, the "90" series of thermostats covers a couple of different thermostats made by White-Rodgers. Here's how to find your model number. With that info, I can check the manual specific to your thermostat.

In the mean time, check the display for the word BATTERY or BAT. (Flashing) on the display. Battery flashing or blinking on the digital display indicates low batteries. If the batteries have recently been changed and the thermostat continues to indicate low batteries, use a pencil eraser to polish each of the battery contacts inside the back of the thermostat. Do not bend them up and down when polishing or you might break them. When complete, they should all be as shiny as a mirror. This will assure proper battery back-up, allow the backlight to work correctly and remove the flashing battery symbol from the screen. Battery (Solid) on Display The battery symbol (not blinking) indicates a loss of power (24 volts) from the heating and cooling equipment to the thermostat. Normally the heating and cooling do not operate when the battery indicator is on. If the battery indicator is on, check the fuses or breakers, make sure the furnace is switched on, and verify the blower compartment door is closed properly. The battery display is designed to indicate the thermostat is running on batteries, so replacing batteries has no effect on the indicator. See No Heat/No Cool for more information. Note: Some heat only systems (zoned systems) disconnect power from the thermostat during a normal heating cycle and display the battery symbol. Millivolt heating systems always indicate battery because they do not supply 24 volts to the thermostat.

A beep often is provided as audible feedback when keys are depressed on many thermostats. You should check to make sure that no key is stuck in the "in" position or is otherwise activated.

Lost my manual- Canon ES290 camcorder: I just want to know what a display item in the viewing screen means- on the right side next to where the low battery indicator would be- looks like a bowl, with a...

That is most likely your date/time battery indicator telling you that it needs to be replaced. It is a coin battery and you should be able to find the battery holder on the bottom of the camcorder towards the front. I have attached a link where you can download the user manual for free. Page 57 has the info on the date/time (backup) battery.

Go to this website and click on "Brochures & Manuals" to get to the user manual. It takes a minute to download it (220 pages), but it will eventually pull it up.

GE Cordless 5.8 screen display is only showing partial info. I changed the battery but the screen did not improve. Does that mean that the phones are defective.

Sorry! But this is indicative of a defective screen. This does not mean the phone will no longer work. This does not in any way affect its functions of making and receiving calls. The screen needs to be changed.

Pf??

PF means power failure.
For short outages the clock may still have correct time
(there is a battery backup for that), but the PF will
be displayed. Setting the clock will clear the PF
indication.

Press 'clock set-start' button, (under clock display)
enter time with numeric keypad,
press 'start' button. (to right of clock)
