Got my father a garmin 76csx for christmas and its the first one we ever owned, He wants to be able to measure his land/acres because he seen it done on one a friend of his had (which I dont think was garmin).
my question is can you help me with detailed instructions on how to accomplish this in Canada, Ontario?

Try resetting everything. The first step is to Start the GPS unit, while it is starting (when the screen turns on) hold your finger in the lower left corner. It will then prompt you to open in maint. mode. Select yes, and go through the menus by selecting next. When a third option is shownsuch as reset, select it. Reset everything including deleting your saved addresses, you will loose all of your saved info but it should start working again. Hope this works for you as it did for me.
