I own a KUDS01FLSS3 KitchenAid dishwasher. The lights on the control panel do not come on and a cycle can not be started. There is about an inch of water in the bottom of the dishwasher basin and it looks like the previous cycle did not complete. I have checked the wall outlet that the washer is plugged into and the washer is receiving power from the wall. And ideas? My next thought was to take the door off and check the power supply running to the door panel and control panel.

There are design problems with certain model dishwashers where the wire gauge on wire harness was too small and would heat up causing the thermal fuse to blow prematurely. The replacement kit includes a wire harness with a thicker gauge wire, preventing the fuse from blowing prematurely. There were no reports of fire hazard.

Hi,

The problem with the unit is the thermal cut-out/fuse has tripped. You'll need to purchase the replacement kit #959376. It should be available at most local parts retailers, or online parts depots as well. (double check with your model number, but that is the most common)

**Be sure to use the entire kit**.

You'll notice there are new wires to the fuse to be spliced into existing ones, this is to ideally prevent the problem from re-occuring. (follow the instructions provided, you'll be fine)

If the problem does re-occure in the near future, you'll need the control, #1060952

hope that helps,

Good Luck

I own a KUDS01FLSS3 KitchenAid and the bottoms on top have worn through. What is the panel number for the panel?

I'm not sure what panels you are looking for. I know Appliance Art sells custom stainless panels for the dishwashers that allow you to slide out old panel and insert new one. They also have stainless steel "rolls" for wrap-around dishwashers. www.applianceart.com

about the only thing to try would be to remove the inner door panel to get to the control bd then you will see a mylar ribbon looks like a fat piece of scotch tape pull up on the plastic connector that holds it in and pull the ribbon out then get a clean pencil eraser and gently clean the ribbon and put it back in dont forget to push the locking tab back down then try it again and let me know
