Your correct, there is no reset on the alarm. The water level sencor inside the pan is setting it off and if there is no water in the pan, you have a bad sensor and will have to replace it to stop the alarm. You might want to inspect it and try cleaning the sensor before you buy a new one. Some times they get stuff built up on them from the evaporation process and this will make it have a false reading. I clean them with CLR and it seems to work pretty good.
Note. The reason the water pan has no drain is because it's designed so that the heat from the condenser evaporates the water. This sensor is installed so that if this does not happen, it let you know it full before it over flows. I hope you can understand this and it solves your problem . Have a great day and Good luck
Maybe they will. If not, her is something you might want to try before paying a technician and or a expensive part.
I'm pretty sure that this sensor is a normally open switch. If I'm correct, you can cut the part out and put a wire nut on each wire keeping them apart. If I am wrong, you can still cut the wires to the part and then tape them together. Either way you will of course be bypassing the switch so that the alarm will stop. You will just need to keep an eye on the water level. You might even be able to come up with a way to install a drain of some sort in the pan so you would not have to worry about it anyway. If you were one of my customers, under the circumstances, I would take care of it for you real quick. Have a great day and good luck. Maybe they will do whats right, you never know.

Thanks Hiltonjug. I will call a repair service. The thing is only three months old, purchased through Home Depot. Franklin Chef filed Chapter 7 three days after I received the unit. Hopefully Home depot will honor the warranty.
