Whirlpool Front Loader Dryer Door will NOT stay closed

We just got our brand new Whirlpool Duet front loading dryer. The door will close and the dryer works, but it pops open. We have adjusted the legs. It is perfectly level.

I have the same issue with the door popping open. If you push hard on the bottom of the door then it snaps in. I think the bottom latch is broken or misalligned.

My whirlpool duet front load dryer will not turn on. the light is on inside the dryer, but the panel won't light up

Sounds like the door is not closing completely. Check the connectors that tell the unit the door is closed.

Whirlpool duet frontload dryer stops running after several minutes of drying. The door seems to pop out enough to cause it to shut off. There are no codes showing or anything. This is a brand new unit...

If the door is popping open, that is causing the stoppage. There may be a way to adjust it, but I would have the people you bought it from fix it!! Best to have the device (spring/clip) that holds it closed replaced so it will give you longer life.

Peace,

Door won't latch, interior light stays on, dryer will not start

it appears that someone bent the door or the hinge. that is my first guess.

Dryer will not start after bulb burned out.

moch, the fact that the light is staying on when the door is closed leads me to believe that the door switch is the culprit. If that switch is not made you will not start. See if the pin is broken off. Start there and let me know. Catriver.

yes, it may be as simple as a broken clip where the door opens & closes
