Most likely a bad belt. if the lint screen is on top, remove the lint screen and there should be two screws. take out the two screws. then pull the dryer top toward you and then up and it should release. if that doesnt work a small scredriver can release the latches that are between the top of the dryer and the front of the dryer. the top should come up and then you can see the belt around the drum. check condition of belt by pulling on it.

You have a broken or loose drive belt.
You can order a new one online (repairclinic.com) have your make and model numbers handy.
There's also exploded views to help you.

You'll need to remove the front panel and drum front panel, the drum and route the new belt around the tensioner pulley below the drum...
It's a bit tricky but if you take your time you'll be able to do it..
Let us know if you need assistance with disassembly.

My whirlpool duet gas dryer won't heat up. Drum spins, but no heat. Is there any kind of a reset for this?

Too complicated to explain could be a bad heat relay on control board or an open thermal fuse you didn't say whether gas or electric meaning could be an igniter gas valve coils or a heating element

Ld lg3788w gas dryer drum won't turn

not a good model number, most likely you have a broken belt as long as it starts, heats but the drum doesn't spin,if you get a buzzing sound and it doesn't start you could have something stuck in the blower wheel, the motor is jammed or the motor is bad,you can open the door, push the door switch in,spin the drum with your other hand and have someone push the start button,if it starts you have a bad motor.

Whirlpool Estate gas clothes dryer runs but the heat only lasts for about 10 minutes. the drum will be turning the heat will be on but only for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes the drum will still be...

Hello,

The gas coils have failed. These are the two round devices on the gas valve. You would need to open the dryer to access and replace the gas valves. Every make and model is different.

With the model number I would be able to better assist you.

My whirlpool gas dryer will not heat. It only spins.

If the dryer won't heat but does run, it is more likely to be the gas ignitor assembly, assuming there is gas available to the dryer. If the thermal fuse was bad, the dryer wouldn't start at all.

Is yours the gas model? If so I need you to look for some things. Open back door panel and see if while trying to light the igniter is glowing orange. Sea Breeze

Whirlpool Dryer wont spin

If it heats but doesnt spin, most likely the belt. May not be broke though. May have fallen off. Let me know if you need more help.
