Try unplugging it for about 15 minutes. if that doesnt work, you might as well get a new one. i fix everything myself for just the cost of parts and i have found that what parts cost for a microwaves, its cheaper just to buy a new one.

Your microwave may be in a demonstration mode. Usually there is a way to turn off the sound, change languages, lock out the key pad, etc. via some kind of "Help" key or button. Turn off "DEMO MODE" by pressing the custom help button and observe the options in the LED or liquid crystal screen of your microwave. Usually the first option to undue the demonstration mode and put back into normal operation mode was to press "1" then press the "Stop/Clear" button.

Microwave timer works but will motor will not run/cook.

If everything works on the unit, but you do not receive any heat or possibly the turntable does not turn you have a faulty magnetron (controls heat) and a faulty motor (controls turntable). You would require service on the unit, if parts are available. Some microwaves are so small in cubic foot size, that manufacturer's do not have parts available for purchase/repairs.

Timer counts down very fast

The keypad control board will need to be replaced, bare in mind the cost for the part will exceed the price of a new microwave oven in some cases.

Timer runs fast, plus no heat Maytag MMV1153BAW

No... you are not in a microwave induced time warp...
Your microwave oven needs a "reboot". The same thing happened to me.
Unplug your microwave oven, wait about a minute (more or less), plug it back in. Try setting/running your kitchen timer, boil water, etc. Your timer software on the microwave should be reset.
