Could be a ton of things but the usual suspect is the hot surface igniter. take out the oven panel that is in the bottom of the oven usually just sitting in there or maybe a screw or two. watch carefully when you turn on the oven. the igniter should glow bright orange. if it doesnt, it is most likely bad. 90% of the time its just the igniter.

bad flame sensor or check gas pressure

The pilot light is on but the burner won't lilght

When the oven lighting mechanism lights the gas the flames heat a temperature sensor that, once hot, increases the pressure in the sensor's copper pipe and opens a safety valve to allow gas to continue to flow (It's made like this so, if your flame gets blown out, the sensor cools and cuts off the gas supply, making it safe from gas leaks). These sensors occasionally fail, and very sensibly "Fail safe" - No pressure in the sensor pipe, the valve won't open and there is no gas to the burner.

If you take a look inside the oven at the back where the burner is, you will see the sensor, usually the bit that is in the flame is cylindrical, about an inch long made of metal about 3 or 4 mm thick, tapering at the end. It will be held in place by a nut that fits on a thread at the base of the sensor. Running from the sensor is a copper pipe that runs to the cutoff valve. Unbolt the sensor and withdraw it from the hole it is mounted in, trace the copper pipe back to the valve (where it is usually screwed into the valve with a 10mm connector that looks like a car brake pipe connector. Unbolt from the valve. These sensors are widely used on most gas appliances (Boilers, gas fires, cooker hob burners and patio heaters all use the same kind of sensor). You should be able to get a replacement from any gas appliance service agent. If you go into a shop, take it with you. The only thing you need to do is make sure the replacement you get is long enough. If you are offered one that is slightly longer, that

Oven will not fire up fgf354bgwc

Hi, The ignitor could still be bad even if it glows. It is a very common problem on the gas reanges. The ignitor is getting so weak it will not open the gas valve.
I hope this helps you understand what is happening. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

Do we need an exhaust flue for a southbend half size gas oven?

Depending on your local code, you will need an exhaust hood due to the byproducts of the gas burning. Some locals allow for electric ovens to go without hood. Gas units generally require a hood system with proper fire suppression equipment. You may want to check with your local fire and building inspectors.

Lighting pilot of GE gas stove

According to the model number you supplied it looks like your oven use a glow bar ignitor not a pilot light. In that case there is no place to hold a fire. what happens with these when you turn the oven on 120 volts goes to the ignitor causing it to heat up ,the amp draw across the ignitor causes the gas safety valve to open, and then lights the gas. So if you turn your oven on you should see a bright red glow if not probably the the ignitor, to check it you would have to verify you actually have power going to it. If the ignitor glows but the gas valve does not open you will still need to replace the ignitor has to pull about 3.2 amps across ignitor to open safety valve. Your broil burner works the same way. And most of the ovens the floor of the oven comes out to allow easier acess to the ignitor. also if you have to change the ignitor put just a dab of dish detergent on the screws to help from stripping them
