It sounds like there's an error with the laser that reads blu ray media as PS3 games and blu ray movies are both stored on blu ray disks which is read by a different type of laser then a dvd is read by. There's nothing you could do to fix that on your own, the only fix I've heard of is sending it in to Sony.
Okay, this is a REALLY common problem. It's more likely than not that
dust is on your lens. Best bet is to buy a Laser Eye Cleaner disc and
hope that fixes the problem. If not than you will have to contact
sony. If your still under warranty they will fix it for free. if the
warranty has expired, then they will charge you a repair fee

1 of two things might have happend your track might have jumped or 2 your laser might be gone it sucks i know but easy fix is a little costly as a laser will cost around 50 and the install will cost around 30 well thats what i charge if someone trys to get you to pay more i wouldnt
the laser is messed up also see if the disk spins if it doesent spin its the motor u need to find out ur model of blu ray and get a new one or ship it to sony
