I have downloaded and installed Java (alot) and still can't use pogo, get the same message, Need to install java.

Many games require Java to run. Java is not a part of the Operating System. It must be downloaded and installed from the Oracle Java Download Site. Here is a link to the site. After you have downloaded and installed Java, restart the computer if necessary and restart the browser so it can find Java. After that, things should go smoothly. Some antivirus programs may want to restrict Java as it has been known to be vulnerable at times. You may have to override the AV software to get it to run in Pogo.

Choose the offline version for your operating system. Run the downloaded application. Problem solved.

You need to install Java (from https://www.java.com/en/download/) to be able to play Pogo games. After installation you might need to restart your browser and/or computer before it works.

But please be aware that Java is frequently used to attack your computer with malware. So always update Java as soon as possible and also make sure you're always running an up-to-date antivirus program. At least make your AV program update once a day ...

It's a ongoing issue with Pogo and Java. Java updates quite often due to security issues, Pogo has a hard time keeping current with Java. You didn't post your Windows version? 32 or 64bit? Try installing a older version of java, this is the 32bit version, it works with some of my clients Pogo issues: http://www.filehippo.com/download_jre_32/10808/

Im not sure what browser you are using but what i would suggest is un-installing java, via the add and remove programs and then re-install java using this link and try playing your game on pogo, If however it still does not work i would also try downloading firefox web browser. I hope this helps you.

hi, try to set the classpath of java in environemnt variable and if the problem still persist then go for reinstalling the java.

Please follow these instrucions to clean up your Java installation.
There is a program called JavaRa that will remove all the old Java versions from your computer. Go here to read about it, then it is a free download from here.
Extract the .zip file to your desktop or create a My Programs\JavaRa folder and send it there. Close your browser and run the JavaRa.exe file and choose 'remove older versions.' When done, it will show you a log file of the Java versions found on your computer and removed. Close that.
Now open JavaRa again if it is not still there behind the log file. Choose "Search for updates" and then "Update using SunJava's website" A browser window should open at the Java home page. (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp)
Scroll down to the Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) and choose download. Choose windows from the options, check the license, then choose offline or online installation and click the orange download bar.
Save the file to your desktop or folder, then close your browsers, and click on the file to install Java.
This will give you the most recent version of Java available, which should work seamlessly with Pogo applications.
To check, go to this page and reactivate your Pogo account. Then try to play games.
If your account is properly activated, and you're still having problems, please see this page.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to play with Windows xp. I'm sure you can get it sorted out...

It should appear in the Add/ Remove Programs listing, to access this click:
Start -> (Settings -> ) Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs

You can search for Java in the listing and remove it.

i think your browser need some plugins to play games on pogo.com..just download the updates for your browser..also go in Tools > Option .and see if anythng is stopping your browser to play games on your browser you use .....also update your system with the latest service pack.....
