Nokia 9500 get restart when click Internet Broser / WLAN setting

Nokia 9500 get restart when i'm choosing the internet browser , WLAN setting , the other software is runnging well accept the internet and wifi ,

i'm using the standard internet browser provide by nokia .

my firmware is V 05.22(06)

Your firmware is ANCIENT. If you have installed Nokia PC suite in your PC connect your (fully charged) phone and click on Software update. If don't have it, then go to Nokia web and download it. YOU NEED FIRMWARE UPDATE.

Nokia 9500 network signal is not working

If the 9500 cannot communicate via WLAN but is getting a connection - do the following:

1 - set up a new Internet Access Point in control panel
2 - use the SSID (WLAN Name) to identify the network
3 - set 'Automatic IP address' to NO (Advanced Settings)
4 - give the device an IP address from the range being used on that network
5 - set 'Automatic DNS' to NO
6 - enter a pair of DNS server IP addresses (from your ISP)
7 - back up the phone settings so you never have to do this again

Today I can't access Yahoo at all, why?

Hi. If you cannot access Yahoo but can access other websites, what I can suggest for you to do is to reset your browser settings. Here are the instructions depending on you browser on how to reset settings.

INTERNET EXPLORER Version 7 & 8:
Click TOOLS > Internet Options > Go to Advanced Tab > Click RESET button > Reset > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Internet Explorer Browser that you have open. Open a new Internet Explorer then try accessing Yahoo again.

INTERNET EXPLORER Version 9
Click the gear icon on the upper right part of the internet explorer window > Internet Options > Go to Advanced Tab > Click RESET button > Reset > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Internet Explorer Browser that you have open. Open a new Internet Explorer then try accessing Yahoo again.

MOZILLA FIREFOX Version 3.0 & 3.6
Click on TOOLS > Clear Recent History > On the dropdown box, choose EVERYTHING. > Clear now > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Mozilla Firefox Browser that you have open. Open a new one then try accessing Yahoo again.

MOZILLA FIREFOX 4.0
Click on FIREFOX on the upper left part of the mozilla firefox window > HISTORY > On the dropdown box, choose EVERYTHING >Click Clear now > Wait for it to finish loading, then it's going to ask you to restart your browser. Just close out all the Mozilla Firefox Browser that you have open. Open a new one then try accessing Yahoo again.

If you cannot connect other websites besides Yahoo, contact your internet provider.

My computer will not conect to internet

Have you checked if you are connected to internet?
Go to start then CONTROL PANEL then NETWORK CONNECTIONS
There you should see if you are connected.
If your Lan/WLan is connected try this.
  1. Right Click the LAN/WLAN that is connected to the internet, then on the menu choose properties
  2. Now on the window choose INTERNET TCP/IP then click heifentrixx_3.jpg like in the photo.
  3. On the next window choose OBTAIN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY and OBTAIN DNS SERVER AUTOMATICALLY like in this photo. heifentrixx_4.jpg
  4. Click ok then try connecting to your internet. but i suggest you restart you computer first.

Your device can detect and connect to wireless local area networks (WLAN). Using a WLAN, you can connect your device to the internet. To use a WLAN connection, you must create an internet access point (IAP) for the WLAN. Use the access point for applications that need to connect to the internet.
Use the WLAN wizard to create an access point
1. You can access the WLAN wizard directly from your home screen's information area. Another way to get to the WLAN wizard is to select Menu > Connectivity > WLAN wizard.
2. If the search finds WLANs, you can create an internet access point - scroll to the connection, select Options > Start web browsing. If you select a secured WLAN, you will be asked to enter the relevant password. To connect to a hidden network, you must enter the correct network name (service set identifier, SSID).
3. To end the active connection, select the connection > Options and Exit. If you want to define whether you want to use the WLAN or packet data connection when starting to browse the web, you can set it so that the device always asks which access point is to be used.

1. Select Options > Settings.
2. Select General > Access point, and from Always ask - You always get to select which access point you use.

Hi

Check the priority of your internet connection access points under settings>connectivity>destinations. By default the WLAN gets higher priority. Therefore, when there is a known WLAN available, the phone will connect through it before any GPRS or 3G connection.

Also, there are some reports of conflict between the WLAN & GPRS/3G connection & the web browser gets this conflict & present the "Invalid server name". The solution of this is to close your browser & restart your phone. Also, removing your WLAN, GPRS, or 3G setting & redefining them may help.

Though it shows network signal excellent does not to the net wort

How is your router set up? Are you using WPA or WEP security? WEP is the newer encryption and I'm affraid 9500 doesn't support this. Would try update firmware and hope that Nokia integrated fix for this in to the update.
