My navman locks up all the time. sometime it just locks up on the screen it is on. other times it shows a pixelated screen and locks up. other times it wont allow me to enter the adress option and when I return to navigate the clock comes up and runs forever. Each time I have to reset the unit vial the slider switch at the bottom

Do you mean dead pixels or a dirt spot ??

A dirt spot, use hot water on a soft cloth to clean it.

Dead pixels, you can try this, keep moving between screen and sometimes this will unstick bad pixels.


Go here, then click F11, now RT click mouse button as fast as your finger can. do it like 20 times.

Now click F11 on the page that shows the words dead pixel test.
If they are still there you will need to check your warranty and see how many the company allows before they will fix.

If a LCD TV has vertical or horizontal lines, in most of the case the problem is a defective LCD panel.

Sounds like a good cleaning is in order.

This is usualy a sign that the data you downloaded is not in correct format or is corrupted

I would suggest that you try updating the system direct from your computer, then organise settings to suit you.

Its a burnt pixel on the sensor. It sometimes shows and other times not because of the automatic sensor ISO settings.If under warranty, send it in.

It will take ages to find a signal the first time it tried. Once locked on it should pick up the sats really quickly the next time you turn on the device.

If you turn it off completely (battery switch to off) then it will take ages again the next time it is turned on.

My Navman S50 has been working fine the other day it decided to show me the safety agreement when switched on then shows half the screen black with navman S50 printed in the black section the other half shows a picture of a pretty womans face looking backwards from a car window. I can get to the main menu and then takes me in a circle back to the safety agreement I've tried resetting by holding the on off switch down for 6 seconds when switching off the device is there any other way to reset my navman S50.

i was in car,using navmanf10, went blank and a comput screen connect to unit appeared, cannot do anything with it
