Two of my smoke alarms went off (no fire/smoke in or near house), one has a green light blinking and one has a solid green light, which need a new battery/reset?

The constant green LED means the alarm has AC power.
A flashing green light every 2 seconds without an audible alert means the unit recently sounded ( was the one activated ) and is now in latching mode to let you know that it was the unit that detected the problem. To clear the latching mode hold down the test button for 5 seconds.
Red LED flashing once per minute means that the back-up battery is connected and functioning.
Red light flashing constantly during alarm means that it is the unit that initiated the alarm siren.

Bluetooth wont charge or power on. when charging the red light comes on. once disconnected from charger it wont come on

Indicator Lights:
1.Headset Status Headset Indicator Light
2.Powering on Steady blue, then intermittent flashes
(changes to standby mode)
3.Powering off Red appears and goes off
4.Standby Blue intermittent flashes
5.Charging battery Red solid light. Light indicator turns off when
battery is fully charged and headset is off.
6.Low battery Triple red flashes
7.Pairing mode Blue/red alternating flashes
8.Missed call Purple flashes. Press the call control button
to cancel flashing light.
9.Incoming call Triple blue flashes when ringing.
Power on and off:
1.Turn on the headset Press and hold the call control button until the
indicator glows blue. You will hear ascending
tones.
2.Turn off the headset Press and hold the call control button until the
indicator glows red. You will hear descending
tones. When power is off, indicator stays off.
If none of this is helpful then it may be that your battery is dead, if that is the case then you will need to replace the whole headset. The battery's are not replaceable.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

I bought a brand new 580 ex 11 flash unit. When I turn it on it makes a grinding type of noise and then the zoom in the upper right coner continues to flash. I can't test fire it but the pilot light is...

The grinding noise is the zoom head trying to match the focal length of your lens. A brand new one should NOT grind. It should be silent. It sounds like you got the one that fell off the pallet during shipping. Exchange it for another one.

Red dye reduction

Hi,
You can find your manual here....www.olympus.co.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/download/manual/zoom/man_c725uz_e.pdf

You find how to disable red eye function on page no: 63 in that manual.

For quick reference i am giving the details briefly,

The flash modes are as follows:

AUTO FLASH:

Automatically fires in low-light and backlight conditions.

RED EYE REDUCTION FLASH:

This mode significantly reduces
the phenomenon of “red-eye”
by emitting about 10 preflashes
before firing the regular
flash. This mode works the
same as the auto-flash except
for the pre-flashes.

To change between flash modes:

1 Press the (flash) switch.
● The flash pops up.
2 Press the / (flash mode) button
repeatedly until the desired flash mode
indication appears.
● The flash mode changes ,
● If / is not pressed within 2 seconds after the selection screen is
displayed, the selection screen disappears.
● To de-activate the flash (Flash Off mode ), push the flash back into the
camera.
3 Press the shutter button halfway.
● When the flash is ready to fire, the
(flash stand-by) mark lights.
4 Press the shutter button all the way.
● The flash fires.

Hope my info solves your problem,
Thanx for using fixya,
Good Luck.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1- doesn't do anything in record mode

As I have been writing on other HD1/2 problems, sometimes it can be the card which is an issue. If the card is too slow or perhaps corrupted then the device can find it difficult to record.

This and other soft faults (that are reperable by turning the power on and off, changing or reinserting the card, removing the battery) are often indicated by a flashing red recording light.

My minolta sightseen camera wont take pictures?

The blinking zero would indicate that the film has not loaded but the cartridge is in place. The camera won't do anything when this occurs. Try opening the film door and load the roll again

Red eye

RED EYE is caused by the sudden flash from your camera and the eyes reflex reaction to the sudden light. So what the red eye reduction does is to double flash to counter the reaction. You can try adding an external light source to to your subject. in addition to the following procedures for your camera in the manual, the indicator location on page 64 Flash On Flash Off Red-eye reduction C REC modes on page 52, Snapshot; pg 64, have the flash fire automatically when required (Auto Flash) * Turn off the flash ... recording with flash, reducing the chance of red-eye in the image (Red- eye reduction) In this case, the flash fires automatically; Also, be aware of the following: The approximate effective range of the flash is shown below. Wide Angle Optical Zoom: Approximately 0.4 to 2.9 meters (1.3´ to 9.5´) (ISO Sensitivity: Auto) Telephoto Optical Zoom: Approximately 0.4 to 1.6 meters (1.3´ to 5.2´) (ISO Sensitivity: Auto) * Depends on zoom factor
