u need to update the usb hubs drivers
without the current drivers the 2.0 port will function as a 1.1 port
go to the device manager and update drivers for the usb root hub
I am guessing that the usb hub is not powered. Most usb charing based mp3 players require a certain amount of power in order to be used on the computer or charged by it. I would recommend plugging it into a direct port or buying a powered usb hub.
It look that your player is drawing too much current from your Macbook Pro: it is rather unusual nowadays but does happen even with some USB external 2.5in drives! Solutions: 1) Buy a USB Power Adapter Y cable that plugs into 2 usb ports on your Computer an thus allows double the current (shop around as they are expensive on Amazon but pretty cheap on Ebay) 2) Plug your player via a 'Powered' USB Hub that can provide higher current (from its 'own AC/DC power pack') to each USB port on the Hub
Whenever I plug my Walkman into my USB hub, which is connected to my desktop, it too says it's battery is full after just a few seconds. I plugged it directly into my laptop, and it took a charge as normal. Then I plugged it into a different USB port on my desktop, and it again took a charge as normal. So, if you are using a USB hub, try plugging the Walkman directly into one of the computers USB ports, you may have better luck.
I'd buy a USB 2.0 hub, connect it to one of the ports, then set the hub on top of the computer. That would make it convenient to connect devices to the hub and give you high speed to run your new devices. Good luck
It sounds as if you have too many USB items plugged in at the same time.
When you connect a device to a computer via USB, the device draws its power from the computer. There is only so much power the computer can supply, and if you connect too many devices it can cause problems (hence the error message).
I would suggest that you disconnect any USB items that you are not actually using. If you are unable to do this, it might be necessary to by a USB hub with it's own external power supply.
well i would invest in a hub carrier with it own power sorce 2.0 recomended this should solve your problem well i no it will just go to any com shop and ask for a 2.0 hub or internal usb ports but i must stress it needs to be 2.0 or moor
Hi there.
This message would indicate any one of the following:
1. You have a lot of USB devices plugged in to your computer, and the maximum power supply for the USB ports has been exceeded by plugging this player to your computer. It would be best if you unplugged 1 or 2 of the USB devices connected for the time being.
2. You are plugging the player on your front USB port, and may need to plug it in the rear USB port to acquire ample power supply (front USB ports do not get as much power as the rear USB port -- sad but true)
3. You are using a laptop and may need to try another USB port on that computer. Purchasing a self-powered USB hub would be ideal as it gets its power supply directly from the wall electrical socket.
