You can download and install the driver from HP website. Click on the link below to go to the download page:


HP Photosmart C3180 All-in-One Printer (Windows XP driver)

On the download page the necessary driver is located on the top in the 'Driver' section. Other updates should also be installed but you can opt not to install them if you want to.
I recommend you download and install the HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Driver.

Had a hard drive failure and have lost the instalation disc. Now have new laptop, but cannot load the printer!
You can download the printer driver from the Canon WEB site support download page. You need to select your printer model and the XP or Vista driver version.

HP Compac NX5000 wont load XP Home on new hard drive
This situation leads me to believe that the CD or DVD drive is faulty,,or the install disc you are using is scratched or dirty.
Try cleaning the disc and begin again.
Another option is to take the hard drive out and using a 2.5 to 3.5 inch HD adapter ,,plug into a desktop PC as a slave.
And copy your WinXp cd onto a partition on your laptop HD.
Then using a Win98Se floppy boot disc you can access the winXP and install from there.

Have lost the disc so cannot install printer onto laptop.
if it is window xp unlimited it is easier follow this steps
  • go to printer and faxes folder
  • then add new printer
  • then it will display all the connection wizard
  • 4rm there don't choose from cd rom
  • u will see other printer i mean different products
  • if u can't find the model of the one u are looking for then
  • choose other
  • finally get a test page print out
  • then u will see ur printer brgins to function
