Can get computer to turn on after installing 2GB of RAM in into Toshiba Satellite laptop

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

Is the memory correctly and completely inserted in the socket(s) ? It is possible that the memory module you installed was defective, or even the wrong type.

  • armstrng May 11, 2010

Is it the proper RAM? Do you have it seated properly? Is it making any beeping noise?

Tried upgrading on Toshiba Satellite M105 from 1 512MB to 2 2GB. When I turned computer on after install, all it did was beep! Help!

Hello
There could be a couple things wrong.
1 ram sticks or a stick is not seated properly.Double check.
2 motherboard can not handle 2 gb of ram.Remove 1 and then try it.
3 ram is the wrong type.or 1 stick is bad.Try one at a time and verify ram is correct type.

Here is a link for your model with specs

I dont think 2 gb is supported on for your motherboard.

My toshiba A100 satellite will not let me install Company of Hero's. It keeps saying that I do not have enough physical memory. I do not have any other large programs on my computer and can not find a way...

How much RAM is installed in your laptop? Most laptops can take up to 2GB which is enough for most any games. Find your Owners Manual (on your hard drive) to find directions to find the memory's location. I have a Toshiba Satellite A105 and the memory is behind a panel hedld in place by a Philips screw labeled "4" in a circle, if that is any help.

Can I upgrade memory to only one gb of memory or install 2 512 mb on a toshiba satellite m35x series

http://www.shopping.com/xPF-Toshiba-Toshiba-Satellite-Notebook-PC-M35X-S114

Looking at the specs, the max is 2gb for your Toshiba. According to this website, its only a 256mb ddr sdram. So my guess is you only have 1 slot for the ram. I'd go with a 2gb ram if you can afford it, 1gb just don't cut it in todays technology.

I believe its the PC2700 model, so find a 1gb or 2gb PC2700 @ 333mhz and you should be set.

1024 RAM

You will need to remove the 2-512MB ram that are installed on your computer and buy 2-1GB sticks. There is no other way around this. Download CPU-Z program to find exact memory module needed before you buy the wrong one. Good luck.
