I recently purchased a V9 in Australia. The user manual and Motorola web site clearly state that the phone has touch pad keys on the front screen for messages, sounds, and received calls. However both sources do not explain how to set this up on the phone. I have tried several local stores but have not recieved an explanation. I can access the sound (music files) via front touch pad, but I need to understand how to have the 3 functions constantly displayed on the exterior screen. I am a relative novice witih technology like this so I hope I have made my problem clear. Thanks
Hi there. I have the V8 I think, the blueish black phone. Anywho.. I'm pretty sure the touch screen is only for the music player. If you press the sidekeys while your phone is shut, you can view messages that have just been received and also give a quick reply from what is stored in the phone. You can also switch what kind of sound profile you're in. Mess around with it, I'm sure you'll figure it out. But again, as far as my phone goes I can only use the touch screen for music. Hope this helps you.
