I have a 3 year old electric kitchen range, Whirpool GOLD, AccuSimmer, AccuBake Duo and the top works well but the oven cannot be turned on. It says in red letters " LOC" to the left of the time display. I am not sure what to do. The warranty expired by now but I cannot afford to buy another range. I need the oven to work. I tried unplugging it, and the red LOC disappears, but the second I press bake, it comes back on. Please help. Marilyn in Hurleyville,NY

2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

unplg the system for 15 minutes then plug it back it. When you plug it back in make sure everything goes in straight. this is just trying to reset the system

HI. These codes are an indication of oven temperature sensor failure. The sensor is damaged. This will not allow for proper operations. The affected part must be replaced, asap.

The sensor is, generally, located inside the oven, mounted on the back wall, on the top right, or left corner.It will look like a 4 inch long slender probe. There will be two screws holding the housing on the back of the oven wall. Once the screws are removed, the sensor will need to be extracted from the back side of the unit.

F3 code correlates to oven temperature. Either the oven temperature sensor is malfunctioning or the over-limit switch is open. This is usually the result of using the self-clean mode and the over-limit switch gets stuck open. It has to be replaced...not too bad of a job if you have some mechanical/electrical knowledge. Ask parts supplier for a schematic so location can be visualized (inside top cavity on oven wall with a couple of wires. Also, Sears carries parts for these ovens. Hope this helps.

I would have to say that u need to remove the back painl and look for a ground wirer that is broken or burnt in half. make sur that u unplug the oven first.when u find the problem just replace the wirers

you say after 5 min of plugging in , is this brand new and still covered under your 1st year warr???if so get an authorized servicer out there to take a look at why should you be responsible for their problem
