SOURCE: screen black. polaroid tv 32". have sound TV/DVD Combo TDA-03211C

sounds like inverter board. What it sounds like is happing is your LCD is working ut the backligkt board that allows you to see is kicking off. (as you still have sound) Which could be the (most likely) inverter board, or the power supply board. You can take apart and check for voltage at your power supply. The power supply has a pigtail with large white wires and a connector. Power up with the center back cover off and check your voltage at the white connector on the power supply before and after the screen gos out. If there is no large voltage loss it is your inverter board.

You can used boards on e-bay or

Check the input selector on the TV, if you have audio only then it is a cable problem,
that means that cables are not connected in the right way.

No audio in home theater system until unit warms up

Make sure the receiver is set to use HDMI. Follow your instrution manual on how to set up the HDMI setting. Also, just try a regular HDMI cable. You don't have to spend a lot of money for the cable. All of the HDMI are the same. I was having trouble with my HDMI and read a lot about the cables so, try a $6.99 cable.
Also, make sur you have the cable push in all the way into the TV and receiver. Hope this helped.

How can I hook up a panasonic home theater to my brand new LG lcd tv?

Your TV must have an HDMI connector. Please check if your home theater also has an HDMI connector - like this one:
denisgomes_0.jpg

If so, then all you need to do is buy an HDMI cable, and connect one end to your home theater, and the other to your TV. HDMI cables have a digital connection that carries both audio and video, so they are quite convenient. Don't forget to select the HDMI input using your TV's remote control.
Tip: HDMI uses a digital transmission scheme which is fairly robust (unlike analog transmissions), so a $5 HDMI cable will perform just as good as a $50 or $100 HDMI cable. Don't let those store clerks rip you off.
If your home theater does not have an HDMI output, then you must use the analog connections. Look at the back of your home theater and make note of the connectors labeled as 'Output' (both audio and video). You should buy cables with connectors matching those connections.
If you need more clarification on this subject, just ask.

Hdmi cable connected nothing happens

Are you making sure to change the input settings on your TV/Home Theater System? You may have to instruct the receiving device to use the HDMI input.

Also, are you have to make sure that the settings in the XBOX are set to use the HDMI output instead.

I honestly don't own an X360 so I couldn't tell you for sure. This is a general principle one must keep in mind when using electronics in general, really.

But I did take some time to track down an instructional overview of using an HDMI connection. It's actually on MS's XBOX site. Perhaps this will help you?

Click HERE to see this site.

Also there has been the occasional report of the HDMI cable coming with the XBOX 360 Elite being nonfunctional. You may consider testing with a different HDMI cable.

Remember to make sure you are checking the OUTPUT on the X360...and the INPUTS on your HDTV. Or your Home Theater system...if that's where you're connecting it. Remember that you may need a second HDMI cable to go FROM your home theater system to your HDTV if that is the case.

Let us know what happens!

Hooking up home theater

Run a regular RCA type audio cable from your TV audio out to your Home Theatre audio in. That is what I have done recently with my Samsung LCD and Home Theater. You then have to put your Home Theater on Aux 1 or Aux 2 to get the sound from TV. Ensure your TV's volume is off.
