Trouble playing a game on PSP while on the TV

I bought the video components to play games onto the TV but it won't allow me to play the game. I switched to progressive in the settings then it wouldn't come up on the screen. There were just lines moving up and down. If I switch it to Interlace it comes up on the TV but then I can't play the games. I can just go through the menu options. Please help. Im stumped.

As far as I know, those cable are only intended to output movies and such to your tv, and they don't let you view your gameplay on your tv...too bad..

I haven't got a tv which is good enough for the psp componets cable. But as sony psp manual says, http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psp/current/settings/index_videoout.html you probably need to setup your tv for the correct display type, not only on your psp, BUT ALSO YOUR TV SETUP!

Good luck.

I have a psp go and my friend had already have some purchase game on his pc that he ransfer on my psp go and everything tansfered fine but now i cannot play this games because it said that this content...

Unfortunately It sounds like your friend transferred copyrighted games onto your psp. this means that he bought them and can play them, but they will not work on your psp unless you buy them as well.

Why Does My PSP Dosent Work In TV And Why Dont I Have Display Settings My PSP Is PSP 1001

psp 1000 does not support that option. about the only way i know how to do it is if you got a mod which basically changes out your whole mother board. its not worth the trouble. if you had a psp 2000 you'll need a component av cable. but you'll still need a tv that supports pregressive scan to be able to play games on it though.

How do I play my games on tv using av cable?

The PSP system (model PSP-2001 and PSP-3001) includes a video-out port which allows users to connect and play the PSP system on an external display or television with AV inputs. It is important to note -- you can

Component AV Cables (model SCPH-98550)
The Component AV Cables connect to the Video Out Port on the bottom of the PSP-2001 or PSP-3001 systems and allow you to output video and audio signal to a television display. The AV Cables support photos, videos (including UMD movies), music, and games. Please note for games to output onto an external display, the display must support progressive scan.

Composite AV Cables (model SCPH-98548)
The AV Cables connect to the Video Out Port on the bottom of the PSP-2001 or PSP-3001 systems and allow you to output video and audio signal toa television display. The AV Cables support photos, videos (includingUMD movies), and music. However, output of games are only supported by PSP-3001.

Is psp2004pb can play games in memory stick?

psp can only play games using the UMD drive, you can only play game demos using the memory stick.
Upgrade your psp firmware version to 5.00, it adds playstation store to the psp where you can buy and download full games onto your psp, all you need to do is create an account using the playstation store on your psp if you upgrade it to 5.00.

Use this link to help you upgrade you psp to 5.00
http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/SystemUpdates/PSP
don't forget to download psp media manager 3.00 on your pc.
use this link for psp media manager.

I WANT TO FINE THE WAY TO CONNECT THE CABLES FROM PSP TO TV.

First you're going to need a slim psp, if you have it then you just plug the cables to the right places. To play games on your tv you need a tv with progressive scan and component inputs.

Sony psp slim component cable trouble

Okay the cables you bought they have five plugs. I assuming your tv doesn't have component input only RCA connections (RED, WHITE, YELLOW). SO in that case you bought the wrong jacks. You may want to keep them anyway if you upgrade your tv. Because these "component" cables is the only way you can play video games on the big screen and also has to be hd, but it also will be able to play music, view pics, and watch videos. But that's a different subject.

You need to buy RCA cables for your slim. Keep in mind though you will only be able to watch movies, pics, and music. You won't be able to play video games. Once you have those it's not hard to connect. All you do is from the XMB menu go to display settings click on "switch video output" and it should connect from there. Any more problems please feel free to ask.
