Power supply issues, wont charge.

I have a Satellite p205d-s7479 and there is an issue with the power supply. The actual supply is new and works fine, the computer will not accept a charge while it is open and turned on. It will however accept the charge when it is off and closed. The pointer has also been jumping around the screen now.

Toshiba Satellite P205d S7479 shuts down suddenly when on battery. The battery is brand new.

Try to turn off the laptop
Remove cables and battery on the pc
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds
reinsert battery and cables on the laptop
Turn on the laptop

Check if the PC still shuts down. If it is, try to connect the power cable without the battery. If it turns on, call your pc manufacturer to replace the battery....

Toshiba p205d s8802 laptop the power button comes on and i can hear the fan turning , but it wont boot .

Hello,

Power is coming in the machine means the power supply is ok.
Tap num lock and if it is responding then surely this is the issue with RAM.
Refix the battery once and then turn it on.
If then also it is not working issue might be with the mainboard.,

Thanks.

Typically, graphics cards in laptops are incredibly hard to upgrade. Consider it impossible. However, contact Toshiba and ask if you can upgrade. Some laptops are upgradable.

Black colors turns to red in toshiba laptop P205D no bad connection

It is not due to bad connection it is due to bad software driver version of graphics driver. I recommend you to install correct version of graphics driver like Intel's driver.
