The door has latch switches that are part of the protection and operation when door is closed, is the new door identical and switches match up {same number} if everything checks and the door switches are all working, the door needs to be checked for alignment, if it's out a small margin the switches will not operate properly.
If it stops heating and the other parts of the oven still work, the problem is with the magnetron circuit. If it makes a loud buzzing noise when you try to heat the food, then the magnetron has shorted out. The replacement cost for the magnetron is almost as much as a new oven, so it does not make sense to have it fixed. Sorry.
If the microwave control panel doesn't light up, then your fuse is blown. unplug the microwave. unscrew the vent grill, (2) screws at the top of the microwave. then you should see 1 screw holding the control panel. after removing that screw, gently push up then out. there should be a metal plate on top of the control panel. remove that plate and the fuse will be in that opening. remove the fuse and check for continuity across the fuse. Replace fuse and microwave should begin working.
