How does one reset the lamp timer. modelpt-56dlx25

To answer your question;
Hold the volume down on the tv set and the 0(zero) button on the remote for more than five seconds.
You should then get a message saying that the lamp timer was reset to zero
press enter and that`s it

Remember vol down on tv and split button on remote at the same time for 10 sec until you see a message saying "lamp timer has been reset."

could be getting to hot clean vent holes move back from wall a little bit.lamp may need replacing.try removing and reinstalling lamp

Since all the other solutions were not very specific for some reason. HERE is the right procedure for model # PT-56DLX25.
Press and hold the Volume Down button (On the television set itself, not the remote) and the split button on the remote control simultaneously for atleast 5 seconds and you will get the message "Lamp timer has been reset to 0. Your welcome :)

You did not specify the model number of your set, but, I have the LCD reset proceedure listed below for you.

it could be a week could be a month you should get one and have it ready for when the lamp does burn out

Plug the power cord back into the properly grounded wall outlet. Then press the POWER button on the projection display or the remote control to turn the power on.

2. While pressing the VOL- button on the projection display, hold down the PIP or SPLIT button on the remote control simultaneosly for more than 5 seconds.

3. Whe the lamp time reset procedure is complete, the screen will display "LAMP TIME WAS RESET TO 0." When the lamp time is reset, the LAMP indicator will go out

I was wondering if you could tell me how to reset the timer after I have installed a new lamp. Can you help me?
