There are no adjustment available to tighten the hinges on a laptop. They need to be replaced.

Laptop hinges cannot be tighten, there are no adjustments available.

Faulty hinges cannot be adjusted or tightened. If the the mounting screws are loose then these can be tightened.

If the board is damaged , we can replace or repair the board . If you paid more than one hundred dollars for the printer and under two hundred, its worth while repairing the board or replacing it. Try removing the battery and leaving for 5 mins. replace battery. This can reset a stuck power supply

search "gateway e-155c lcd swivel assembly" on google or any other search engine and you will find the part that you need.
You will need to do your own replacement, but that is the part that will fix your problem

My 2007 Optima Driver's Side visor also had the same problem. I removed it with the screws under the plate at the base of the visor. Upon further inspection, the plastic inside the "hinge" had shattered inside the plastic sleeve. I am currently attempting some at-home super-glue-and-epoxy repair. If this works, I've saved myself a couple hundred bucks in repairs.
