My lenovo 3000 C100 suddenly power off. Anyone

My lenovo 3000 C100 suddenly power off. It takes some minutes before I can power it on again. But it will power off suddenly after about 1 minute. Anyone can help me? Thx.

Thank you. I tried to work on the power supply only (without battery) or on the battery only (without power supply). Same problem happens.

Something very curious - I cannot turn on the notebook after the power is suddenly off (no matter with battery or power supply or both). I need to do the following step before I can turn it on again - remove the power supply and the battery. Without the action of removal, the notebook cannot be turned on.

If the removal action is taken, the notebook is turned on immediately (definitely -100% OK). If no, definitly UNABLE to turn on the notebook!

    Thank you.

Sure. Why the notebook could be turned off suddently - the CPU is overheated! But the real problem is : WHY THE CPU WILL BE OVERHEATED IN MINUTES?

The more curious is: sometimes overheating happens in 2 minutes; and some happens in 20 mins / or 2hrs.

Another curious is: whenever I try to scan the disk, it will be turned off in seconds. WHY?

This sounds like an overheating issue. Make sure your vents are free of dust and debri by using a can of compressed air. Then try powering on listening to see if your fan is spinning. If it is not you'll need to replace it. If it is then make sure you are using the laptop on a cool hard surface rather than cloth or such. If you still have the problem then the most inexpensive fix would be to purchase a laptop colling pad to use underneath, usually $20-40 at most computer stores. Hope this helps.

Overheating depends on the fan that you have installed and the load that is being put on the cpu or graphics by the programs you are running. Scans use alot of cpu resources, ie. puts a full load on the cpu, other programs are not as intensive so that would explain why sometimes it doesn't shut off for 2 hours. Check your vents & fan as even a little dust can raise temps. Also make sure your fan is spinning. Good luck.
