How do you remove the Fuser from a Canon L80?

The L80 printer guts are very similar to the HP 5L and HP 6L printer (Not well known, but the printing engines on many HP printers are made by Canon). In fact it is almost possible to use a 5L/6L toner cartridge in the L80, but as I recall there was a plastic nub that prevented it from fitting properly. This is probably meant to force the user to buy more expensive Canon toner carts instead of using cheaper generics for the 5L/6L. Try HP PartSurfer and you may be able to locate the part that you need.

There is a little rubber pad where original feed in. Look at it on edge and you'll see it has concave wear. Carefully remove black plastic hold down and flip rubber pad over. You'll have to make a new hole so it will lay flat.

This is most likely to be a problem with the cartridge,Cange the cartridge and test again.

Your Fuser--specifically, the pressure roller is worn out...Not worth the replacement cost on this unit.

Please shut down the unit and remove all paper. Wait ten seconds turn the fax backon without paper. mAKE SURE THE FAX IS ONLINE. hAVE SOMEONE SEND YOU A FAX SO THE MACHINE DEMANDS THE PAPER. SEE IF THIS WORKS

It is the document stop arm that is broken.You can remove it.The machine will work without it.
Just make sure you remove the document stop arm and not one of the other sensor flags in the document feeder.

there are no service manuals for any fax that I know of, only user manuals. You just have to take a chance and remove the covers and try to get to the rollers. ( better left to someone mechanically inclined)

it makes it a lot easier if you change everything and know it's good for years.
