Yes with a double connection hard drive lead.setup 1 hard drive to master and the other to slave on the hard drive jumpers situated on hard disks.setup the master to the connection at the end of the lead and set the slave to the next hardisk lead connection down.remember to connect hard disk power leads.

Emachine, w3050, restore os without discs

Impossible unless there is a recovery partition on your hard drive.

It's best to just reinstall windows. Look at the side of your computer for the Certificate of Authentication (COA) sticker. It will tell you which operating system you have and it will show you the Product Key Code (a series of 5 letters and numbers). Borrow an Operating System Disc from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker that is the same as what is listed on your COA Sticker and install it. Make sure you get the Product Key Code from their computer if it is not listed on the Disk. Sometimes when it comes to activation it will want the key code from your sticker and sometimes it wants the one from the disk that is being installed.

You'll be much better off with a clean install of windows than having a factory restore and all the bloated software you don't want.

What jumper setting do I need to add a second 3.5 hard drive into my PC.

Most likely you can use the "cable select" or "CS" position in order to add a second drive. If that doesn't work, then use the "Slave" position.

I WANT TO ADD A SECOND HARD DRIVE WHAT WOULD BE THE PART NUMBER FOR THE CADDY.. AND ALSO UP TO WHAT SIZE HARD DRIVE CAN I ADD

The only practical way to add a second hard drive to the dv9720us is to use an external USB unit. There is no provision for a second internal hard drive (standard for laptops). The "expansion port" is simply another wire connection to the motherboard's data bus, and requires a proprietary cable from HP. Using a USB external drive is a standard approach and does not require any special drivers, etc.

There are a number of good external hard drives w/USB connection available from Costco, WalMart, KMart, and other retailers. HP prefers Western Digital (as do I, from years of repair experience...they last longer), but there are a number of decent brands. You can use any size you want. 1TB drives are not uncommon today. Prices generally range from a little under $100 to around $200 for large capacity drives.

Hope that's helpful.

Want to upgrade graphics card for output other than vga

Newer e-machines use the integrated graphics cards, but do not have expansion slots for anything else.
unless you have an expansion slot for a video card add on.

According to this site:
http://www.crucial.com/eu/store/listparts.aspx?model=W3050

you should be able to get an AGP 8X. This is an older card, but would be better than the intergrated one.

good luck and don't forget to vote!!!

I have a enachine w3050 computer and when i turn it on it goes to a screen where it tells about what the processor is and the master and slave is and wont load windows and say press f1 to continue and f2...

it may be a problem of hard drives jumper settings and the CMOS/BIOS setting conflicts!!
first try to go to setup on pressing F2 and load optimal values and restart!!
if this does not help then open the CPU and see the hard drives jumper settings and make it to chip select(CS), and restart!
this mainly will be the problems!

reply and rate!!!

HP Media Centre PC 7250 can I add a hard drive?

Here's a step by step guide for that HP 7250 model on HP's website about how to replace, or remove/add the Primary and Secondary Hard Drives (which pictures that help).

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00639696&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=1118243&rule=29389&lang=en

If your computer did not come with a second hard drive, you can install a second hard drive that you attach to the bottom of the inside of the computer tower.
