My Whirlpool duet Sport front loading washer stops and flashes the F21 error code with EVERY load of wash. You have to restart the washer or start a rinse or drain cycle to finish the load. Every load of wash takes fOREVER to do. The code says it stands for a drainage problem but we have done everything including replacing 100 yards of outside drainage. HELP.
An easy Fix. Take off the kick panel, 3 screws 1/4 inch. Make sure you have a shop vac ready or a lot of towels as there will be some water. Always disconnect power to washer and dryer, and turn off water to washer. Your filter most likely is clogged with change, screws, lint, and other household stuff that we leave in our pockets! Unscrew the cap on the filter, easy to find, since you have the kick panel off! Take everything out of the filter. Take your shop vac and **** out remaining stuff in hose. Also, **** up any water that has leaked in and around the washer. Screw the cap back on hand tight, put the kick panel back on, turn your water back on, plug it in and there you go! Maybe takes an hour and saves you a repair bill. If you are not comfortable with this procedure then call a maintenance person that is qualified. 
Take off the bottom kick panel locate the drain pump now there will still be water in the washer so take caution when following this procedure i use a shop vac and suck all the water out of the drain hose to prevent a mess then the frount of the drain pump will screw off check it for blockage or damaged impeller blades

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I did what you said and was so thankful. When i took the kick panel off the bottom the pump had dislodged from its holder and was just thumping around in the bottom of the washer. We secured it back in its bracket and opened the drain pump as you suggested and it had a key and some change inside!! I just did my first load of wash in what seems like forever that washed correctly. No restarts!!!!! THANK YOU again!!!!!!!!
