Firmware upgrade Pls let me know how to upgrade firmware of Sharp AR-507 copier.

I would recommend buying replacement flashrom from Sharp (if they still have them) or getting the most current version from a dealer. Not having SCSI, I burn them using an Andromeda EPROM burner with the 5V Sharp adapter. You will need the ICU, PCU, and OPE flashrom.

What version do you have now?

Version H2.40 contains the following modifications: 1. H5-01 error detection changed from 3 successive errors to 5. (POD1) 2. “H3” errors eliminated when ICU detects E7-00 error.(PCU processing change) 3. Image rotate information retained during paper-out condition by specifying use of manual feed tray. 4. If L3-00 or L1-00 errors occur after upgrade, TC 26-59 settings must be changed. Refer to technical bulletin AR-337-001 R for instructions. AR507.EXE Contains all the files needed to upgrade the AR287/AR337 copiers using a PC, SCSI adapter, and 7 series Black & White Imager. (AR287 ~ AR507) Refer to Technical Bulletin AR-505-001. AR507.EXE contains the following files – ICU_H2_40.mot, ICU_H2_40.fd, PCU_H2_40.mot, PCU_H2_40.fd, OPE_H2_40.mot, OPE_H2_40.fd, and Flash5.1.exe
