1. Remove battery
2. Hold down the * and # buttons and reinsert battery. You should hear a long beep. If not retry. (This is a bit awkward but hold the handset upside down and it's workable)
3. Screen will be blank. Immediately press the right soft menu button.
4. Screen will report that EEPROM is clearing and then state EEPROM Clear Ok
5. Remove battery (yes again)
6. Reinsert battery (this time there's no need to hold down any buttons)
7. Handset will reboot with Welcome screen and then state that phone must be registered (this is the status a handset should be in from the factory)
8. Place handset on base and it will register as normal

Hi there, Your new phones will not interact with a base station from another brand of phones. If you want to use one base station, you can buy single phones of the same model and brand and those will interact with the original base station. Your new phones will not connect to the old base station Sorry, Alex

I think you have to send them back to uniden to deprogram them from the old base. A pain in the neck but I am pretty sure they have to be deprogrammed or they can't get a new base. I know this isn't so helpful but sometimes thats life

I bought a Uniden cordless phone, put the batteries in (it has 4 remote bases) and charged it for 20 hours as instructed. I tried calling it on my cell phone but I'm not getting s response. The display...

Double check that the telephone cord is firmly plugged into the back of the cordless phone base, the wall outlet, the outlet where the telephone modem is and at the L1/L2 jack on the back of the telephone modem. Your phone is not getting the dial tone line voltage from the telephone modem to the cordless base. There might be a short in the wiring. (It is unclear as to whether you are setting an old phone into this new base or swapping out and using another base with the old phone. Irregardless, the problem would seem to be not in the phone but ratther narrowed to the cord between phone modem and phone base. That is a very good reason to check how firmly the cord is plugged in.

UNIDEN EXP7900 NEW BATTERY CHARGED, GREEN STATUS LIGHT ON, BUT CANNOT GET A DIAL TONE. THIS WAS AFTER THE PHONE HAD BEEN UNPLUGED FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS.

I have a Uniden DECT 6.0, 2 handset phone. I charged the batteries twice for at least 15 hours. I usually unplug the base at night and plug it back in in the morning. Both the phones lose their charge overnight. My old Uniden phone never lost its charge. Is this because the new batteries are smaller than the old ones? Are the batteries bad? I bought this phone from Ebay who said this was a brand new phone, box never opened. Thank you.

Adding a new handset

You need to register the new handset with the base.
In Global settings De-register the new handset then place it on the main base unit connected. It should then register.
